About Liv Med Spa

What is Liv Med Spa?

Liv Med Spa is mainly a medical aesthetics practice. Most of the services it lists are aesthetic treatments: tattoo removal, Tox, dermal filler, Sculptra, microneedling, chemical peels, facials, laser hair removal, brows and lashes, and professional makeup. It also offers medical weight loss, hormone replacement for women, testosterone replacement for men, peptide therapy and wellness shots.

The weight loss program runs as 6- and 12-week programs with baseline labs, a supply of GLP-1 medication, monthly follow-ups and on-demand support. It does not name a specific GLP-1 drug. The hormone services list enclomiphene, estradiol patches, oral micronized progesterone, compounded testosterone creams, testosterone injections and testosterone pellet therapy. It does not name the clinician who prescribes. Virtual visits are offered to residents of nearby states.

What does it cost?

In-office weight loss starts at $50 per week or $125 per month, and the price varies by medication. That option adds a $250 enrollment fee on top of the medication cost. The at-home program starts at $100 per month. The weight loss consultation includes a $50 deposit that is non-refundable and applied toward the program. It does not say whether the monthly price includes the medication.

Hormone care begins with a $199 initial consultation and a $199 lab panel. In its own words: Medication is billed separately from your initial consultation and lab work. Peptide therapy starts with a $100 consultation fee, and wellness shots run $40 each or $200 for a series of 6.

It is cash pay only and does not accept insurance. It takes cash, check, credit card and most HSA cards, and Cherry financing is available for weight loss. The Essential membership is $99 per month with no commitment, and you can cancel anytime. The Signature membership is $199 per month.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who writes the prescription, since the clinic does not name its prescriber. Ask whether the monthly weight loss price includes the medication, because the in-office option adds a $250 enrollment fee plus the cost of medication. Ask which GLP-1 drug you would receive and whether it is brand name or compounded. If testosterone is part of your plan, ask whether it is compounded, since compounded creams are on the list.

Ask what follow-up visits and lab work cost beyond the first panel, because baseline blood work carries an additional fee when it is needed. Finally, ask how cancellation and the $50 deposit work for the weight loss program. It does not publish those terms.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want aesthetic treatments and medical weight loss, hormone or peptide care from one cash-pay practice, and you are comfortable paying out of pocket and getting the answers above in writing before you commit. It is worth calling if you mainly want a med spa that also offers medical programs.
