About Gannett Health
What is Gannett Health?
Gannett Health is a direct primary care practice at 20 S Tschirgi Street in Sheridan, Wyoming. Members pay a monthly fee for their primary care instead of billing insurance. Louisa Crosby, AGACNP-BC, founded the practice and is the only prescriber it names. It was founded in October 2022.
Primary care is the core of the practice. It covers annual wellness exams, sick visits, chronic disease management, mental health care, sports physicals and palliative care. It also offers weight loss management with GLP-1 medications, hormone replacement therapy including TRT, menopause treatment, and IV fluid and vitamin injection therapies. Its anti-androgen hormone options name spironolactone, finasteride and anastrozole as examples.
It is open Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 4 PM, and Friday, 8 AM to 12 PM. The phone number is (307) 752-9190, and it does not take texts. House calls cover about a 20 mile radius of Sheridan. Telemedicine is available to Wyoming residents living outside Sheridan County.
What does it cost?
Individual membership is $95 a month. A spouse or partner adds $85 a month, and an adolescent or young adult aged 12 to 20 on a parent's membership pays $75. Telemedicine membership is $75 a month, and house calls are $130 a month. Family plans are $290 a month for two adults and all children, or $220 for a single parent and all children.
New patients pay $250 for the first month and a one-time $150 registration fee. The first three months of fees plus the registration fee are due at the first appointment. A 3-month commitment is required. After that, you can cancel at any time with 30 days' notice. Annual payment earns a 10% discount.
In its own words: "A single monthly fee covers your annual exam, sick visits, diagnosis and disease management, medication prescribing, and healthcare advocacy."
GLP-1 medications are listed as low as $35 per injection or $150 per month, and that price includes the medication. Hormone therapy is included in the membership fee for members. Non-members pay $250 for an initial consult plus labs out of pocket. Members get 20% or more off labs.
It does not accept insurance. Payment is due at the time of service by cash, check or credit card, and HSA or FSA funds can be used. It provides a superbill on request but does not guarantee insurance reimbursement.
What should you ask before you book?
It does not say whether weight loss visits are included in the membership fee, so ask. It does not name which GLP-1 medication it uses, so ask which one, and whether it is brand-name or compounded. Ask how many in-person visits the weight loss program requires, since it does not describe that either.
Only Louisa Crosby, AGACNP-BC, is named as a prescriber, so ask who handles weight loss and hormone visits. It does not itemize hormone therapy prices for members, so ask what labs and follow-up visits cost on the plan you choose. Finally, ask how cancelling works during the required 3-month commitment.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want one primary care provider for a flat monthly fee, can pay out of pocket because it takes no insurance, and either live in Sheridan or are a Wyoming resident outside Sheridan County who would use telemedicine. Worth a call if weight loss or hormone care is your main reason, as long as you get the medication and prescriber questions answered first.
