About Badger State Hydrate

What is Badger State Hydrate?

Badger State Hydrate is an IV therapy and aesthetics practice in Madison, Wisconsin, listed on Google as a medical spa. It also runs a GLP-1 weight loss program, which is one of several services. Its main location covers Madison and Monona, with other offices in East Troy, Portage and Watertown. The IV menu includes vitamin shots and NAD+, and the aesthetic services include Morpheus8, Lumecca IPL, wrinkle relaxers and dermal fillers.

The weight loss program uses semaglutide and tirzepatide, and it also offers oral semaglutide. The medication is compounded. Other services include testosterone replacement, peptide therapy including sermorelin, lab work, and body image counseling with Sam Johnson, who holds a Master's in Clinical Counseling. It does not name the prescribing clinician. The staff includes registered nurses and a registered dietitian, Jessica, RD. Virtual guidance and semaglutide shipping are available. It does not list hours or a street address for the Madison location.

This listing is for its Watertown office at 110 N 3rd St.

What does it cost?

All provider and nurse visits are free. The only added cost named is shipping.

The GLP-1 medication plus support plan is billed monthly, and the price rises with each month of treatment. Semaglutide, injection or oral, runs $200 in month one, $250 in month two, $350 in month three, $450 in month four and $550 in month five. Tirzepatide injections run $290 in month one and $690 in month six. The monthly price includes the medication.

Support on its own is $99 a month. The prescription and support plan is $199 a month, for people whose insurance already covers the medication. Body image counseling is $130 for a 60-minute virtual session. Testosterone injections are $99 each, and the testosterone lab panel is $50.

In its own words: "We prioritize transparent pricing with no ballooning rates and no long-term commitments." It does not say whether it accepts insurance, and it does not publish cancellation terms.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who writes and signs your prescription, and get that clinician's name before you pay. Ask whether the monthly medication fee covers lab work and follow-up visits, since it does not say. Ask which pharmacy compounds the medication and how a compounded version differs from the brand-name drug.

If you choose the prescription plan, ask which pharmacy will fill your prescription. The clinic states that it cannot send prescriptions directly to Eli Lilly or Novo Nordisk. Ask how cancellation works, including any notice period and whether a fee applies. For testosterone, ask the total cost over a month, since the $50 lab panel is billed separately from the $99 injections.

Finally, ask whether insurance is accepted, which states its virtual care covers, and what hours each location keeps. The phone number is 608-432-6521.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want GLP-1 care with monthly check-ins and you are ready to pay cash for compounded medication. It is a weaker fit if you need a named prescriber or insurance billing before you book. For testosterone, the practice treats men with clinical proof of low testosterone. Women and gender-affirming patients are referred to other clinics, and men planning to father children are not currently eligible.
