What is EZCare Clinics?
EZCare Clinics runs walk-in medical centers in New Martinsville, Moorefield and Fairmont, West Virginia, and in Covington and Dublin, Virginia. Most of its work is minor illness and injury care: COVID-19, flu and strep testing, physicals, urgent care, pediatric urgent care, RSV testing, flu shots, allergy testing, X-rays for injuries, and employer services such as DOT physicals and drug testing. Weight loss is one service on that list. In its own words: "Our centers offer the convenience of not needing appointments and are open extended hours."
The weight loss program is the newest part. A 2024 post announced GLP-1 medication for weight management and named semaglutide and tirzepatide. It describes the offering this way: "We now offer Compound GLP-1's at all of our WV clinics (Fairmont, Moorefield, New Martinsville), and at our Covington VA clinic." The program starts with an initial consultation, then a plan that includes the medication, nutritional counseling, lifestyle advice and regular follow-ups. It does not name who prescribes.
What does it cost?
It does not publish prices for the weight loss program, and it does not say whether the medication is included in any monthly fee. It calls the first consultation free. It says it works with most insurance providers, from Aetna to Medicaid and many others, and that it offers flexible payment options for people without insurance. It does not say whether weight loss visits or medication are covered by insurance, or what the payment options cost. Ask for the full price in writing before your first visit.
What should you ask before you book?
Start with which office offers the program. The home page lists all three West Virginia offices and Covington, but a 2024 post said Moorefield only. Then ask who prescribes the medication, since it does not name anyone, and whether that person reviews you at follow-up visits.
Ask what the compounded product is, which pharmacy makes it, and how it compares with the brand-name drug. Ask whether any monthly price covers the medication, follow-up visits and lab work, and what the labs cost if they are billed separately. Ask how you cancel, whether follow-ups can be done by video, and how long the program has been running, since it does not say any of these things.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want a walk-in clinic for everyday illness or injury care and also want to start the GLP-1 program at one of its West Virginia offices or the Covington office, and you are willing to get the price, the prescriber's name and the medication details before you commit. If you need a named prescriber or a fixed monthly price, call first and ask.
