About Thrive Weight Loss and Medical Clinic
What is Thrive Weight Loss and Medical Clinic?
Thrive Weight Loss and Medical Clinic is a cash-pay medical weight loss practice at 315 W 9th Ave Ste 100 in Spokane, WA 99204. Its main service is weight loss medication, sold in monthly packages. The clinic also offers labs, vitamin B12 injections, body composition analysis and meal plans. Care is provided by an MD and a PA, each with 10 years of experience. The clinic does not name either one. The injectable packages use compounded semaglutide or compounded tirzepatide. The oral packages include Metformin, Contrave, Phentermine and Qsymia. Visits can be in person or by telehealth. The clinic is open Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 3:30pm, and it is closed Sunday. The phone number is (509) 903-8991. It has a 5 rating on Google from 34 reviews.
What does it cost?
The compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide packages both start at $149 a month. Each includes a one hour visit, one month of the prescription, unlimited check-ins, an Inbody 270 body composition analysis and diet and exercise guidance. The price rises with dose. The clinic lists semaglutide from $146 to $353 a month and tirzepatide from $149 to $399 a month. The oral medication package is $99 a month, and the oral medication and labs are not included in that price. The first consultation is free.
Insurance does not cover the office visit. The clinic can help you get approved for weight loss medication through insurance, and you need to call for details. There are no contracts. The oral package carries a recurring fee that can be cancelled at any time without penalty. For visits, there is no fee with more than 24 hours notice, and a $50 fee applies with less notice. The clinic does not offer refunds.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who will sign your prescription. The clinic names an MD and a PA but does not say which one reviews your case or writes the prescription.
Ask what your full monthly total will be at the dose you need. Tirzepatide prices range from $149 to $399 a month, and the clinic does not say whether the listed price covers the full month of medication at every dose.
Ask whether your medication is compounded. A footnote states that compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are not approved by the FDA. Ask what that means for your prescription, and whether a brand-name version is an option.
If you choose the oral package, ask what the medication costs each month on top of the $99 fee. Ask what labs cost as well, since the clinic lists labs as an optional add-on without a price.
Ask what "help you get approved" involves with insurance, and whether any medication is covered at all.
Ask how shipping works. The clinic uses Empower Pharmacy in Houston, TX, and says medication is either shipped to you or picked up at the clinic each month.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want a cash-pay, monthly package for medication-based weight loss, you want the option of telehealth visits, and you are comfortable getting your exact monthly price in writing before you book. If you need insurance to cover your visits or medication, or you need to know the named prescriber before you start, ask those questions first.
