About Vitality Weight Management
What is Vitality Weight Management?
Vitality Weight Management is a cash-pay medical weight management practice in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, at 1455 Leary Way NW, Suite 400, Seattle, WA 98107. The phone number is 206-274-6656. Nicole Hamlin, PA-C is the one person listed as prescriber. The office is open Monday through Thursday, 9 to 4, with no Friday or weekend hours listed. Nicole Hamlin wrote that she decided in 2023 to open her own practice, with a focus on long term, holistic health. The clinic has a Google rating of 5 from 20 reviews.
Weight loss is the main service, built on the four pillars of nutrition, physical activity, medication and behavioral support. The medications named include phentermine, Qsymia, Contrave, semaglutide (Ozempic and Wegovy), liraglutide (Victoza and Saxenda) and tirzepatide (Mounjaro and Zepbound). Other services are a women's health and hormones program for perimenopause and menopause, nutritional counseling, body composition analysis, a gut health evaluation and some additional services. The first visit is in person. Follow-ups can happen over a secure Zoom platform or in person. In its own words: "Obesity is a complex chronic disease, not a choice, and I will approach your treatment as such, in a judgment free environment."
This listing is for its Seattle office at 1455 Leary Way NW, Suite 400.
What does it cost?
The clinic is cash only and does not accept insurance. On request, it will provide a super bill you can submit to your insurer for reimbursement.
The optional mini consult is a 15-minute meet and greet for $75, and it can include a body composition analysis. Phase 1 is four weeks of weekly visits, two 60-minute visits followed by two 30-minute visits, at $300 an hour or $150 per 30 minutes. Phases 2 and 3 are two 30-minute visits a month at $150 each, or weekly at the same rate if you prefer. Paying the first six months in full brings a 10% discount. The menopause program starts with a $300, 60-minute visit, and follow-up visits are $150 for 30 minutes. The GI-MAP gut test and B-12 shots are optional, and the clinic will go over their costs at the first visit. The clinic asks for a six-month minimum commitment and recommends a year. It does not say whether medication is included in these fees, and it does not publish cancellation terms.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask whether the visit fees include the prescription. If they do not, ask what the medication costs and where it is filled. Ask whether each medication is brand-name or compounded, since the clinic does not say. Ask Nicole Hamlin, PA-C, whether she signs every prescription, including hormone therapy.
Ask what blood work costs, since labs are ordered at several visits and no lab prices are given. For the hormone program, ask what the hormone medication itself costs beyond the visit fees. Ask what happens if you stop before six months, and whether the prepaid six-month payment is refundable. Ask how cancellation works before you pay anything.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you can pay cash, can commit to at least six months of visits, and want an in-person first visit with follow-ups that can happen over Zoom. The hormone program lists candidates as perimenopausal and newly menopausal women who are under 60, or less than 10 years past the onset of menopause, so check that you fit that range before you book.
