About Temple Natural Health

What is Temple Natural Health?

Temple Natural Health is a naturopathic medical practice with offices in Seattle and in Lacey (Olympia). It opened in 2003 as a massage spa and colon hydrotherapy center under the name Tummy Temple. In its own words: "We have since grown into a full-service naturopathic health center serving the communities of greater Seattle and greater Olympia."

The clinic offers naturopathic medicine, massage therapy, lymphatic drainage, colon hydrotherapy, IV therapies, bioidentical hormone therapy for women and for men, a doctor-supervised hCG weight loss program, and GLP-1 medication care. It names Ozempic, Wegovy and tirzepatide. Two naturopathic doctors are named as prescribers: Dr. Jamie Doughty, ND, who is listed as Medical Director, and Dr. Ara Walline, ND. Dr. Doughty also leads the clinic's Virtual Clinic for remote naturopathic care. On Google the clinic has a 4.8 rating from 218 reviews.

What does it cost?

It does not publish prices for hCG, GLP-1 or hormone therapy, and it does not publish a consultation fee. The hCG program lists what it includes: an initial medical evaluation, hCG supplies, a personalized workbook, three 15-minute phone consults, 5 weeks of email support and a customized maintenance strategy. Supplements are not part of the program fee. The program comes in 3-week, 6-week and extended lengths, but no price is shown for any of them. It does not say whether medication is included in any fee, or whether it accepts insurance.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who signs the prescription for hormone, hCG and GLP-1 care, and whether it will be one of the two naturopathic doctors named above. Ask whether the program or monthly fee includes the medication, and whether the hCG supplies are the only drug cost. Ask whether a GLP-1 medication is brand-name or compounded, since one of the clinic's own write-ups describes a compounded tirzepatide.

Ask what lab work is needed before you start and what it costs. Ask what follow-up visits, extra phone calls or refills cost after the included consults. Ask whether the Virtual Clinic can handle hormone or GLP-1 prescribing, or only in-person visits. Ask whether it takes insurance or HSA payments, and how cancellation works, including whether any membership or prepaid term applies.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want a naturopathic doctor to oversee hormone, hCG or GLP-1 care, in Seattle, in Lacey or by video, and you are ready to get the fee, medication and lab answers in writing before you pay. If you need published prices before you call, expect to ask for them first.
