What is Bellevue Health Clinic?
Bellevue Health Clinic is a primary care office at 1417 116th Ave NE, Suite 204, in Bellevue, Washington 98004. Dr. Jihua Mark Jia runs it. He is a board-certified internal medicine (ABIM) physician and the only prescriber the clinic names. He has practiced for more than 20 years in primary care and acute hospital medicine, and he founded the clinic in 2019.
Primary care is the core of the practice. The clinic lists physicals, chronic condition care, women's health, travel medicine and green card immigration medical exams. Weight management is one of its services, but the clinic presents it under Bellevue Laser & Skin Care Clinic, an aesthetic practice inside the same suite that offers Botox, laser treatments and anti-aging treatments. In its own words: "There are multiple ways to do weight loss." The clinic names semaglutide as the injected medication it uses for weight management.
The office is open Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, with a lunch break from 12:00 to 12:30 pm, and it is closed on weekends. It is currently seeing patients by appointment only. You can book by phone at 425-298-7771, and staff can speak Chinese on the phone. Google lists the clinic at 4.6 from 77 reviews.
What does it cost?
It does not publish prices for weight management, consultations or follow-up visits. It also does not say whether the medication is included in any fee. The clinic accepts most major insurance plans as well as self-pay patients. The plans it names include Aetna, CIGNA, Premera BlueCross, Regence BlueShield, United HealthCare and Medicare. Cancel by phone at least one business day ahead, or a $40 missed appointment fee applies. Arriving more than 15 minutes late also counts as a missed appointment.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask for the full cost of the weight management program before you book, including the consultation, the medication and each follow-up visit. Ask whether the medication is part of any monthly fee, and whether the semaglutide is brand-name or compounded, and where it is filled. Ask who writes and renews the prescription, and how you will be followed between visits. Ask whether follow-up visits and lab work are billed separately from the program.
Ask whether telehealth is available, since the clinic's pages do not address it. Ask whether your insurance will be billed for any part of the program or whether it is all self-pay. Finally, ask which name appears on your bill, since the program is presented under the skin care brand, and ask how you would cancel or stop the program.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want a board-certified internal medicine physician handling both primary care and a weight management prescription in one office, and you are willing to get a written price before you commit. If you need a published price list or telehealth, call before you book.
