What is Serenity Medical?
Serenity Medical is a family-owned clinic at 25 Stoneridge Drive, Suite 203, in Waynesboro, Virginia. The office is upstairs in the Jefferson Building. The only prescriber named is Dr. Jeanne Parrish, APRN, DNP, FNP-C, who has worked in medicine since 1994. Its listed service area covers Nelson, Augusta, Rockingham, Rockbridge and Albemarle counties, along with Waynesboro, Staunton, Harrisonburg, Charlottesville and Lexington.
The clinic started with DOT physicals and later added testosterone replacement therapy, hormone replacement therapy, medically assisted weight loss and peptide therapy. Its peptide page names BPC-157, TESAMORELIN, NAD+, SEMAX and MOTS-C among the options it offers. The weight loss page does not name any medications. Hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 6 PM to 9 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM. The phone number is (434) 806-0286. Its Google listing shows a rating of 5 from 20 reviews. In its own words: "Our job is biology, not morality."
What does it cost?
It does not publish a price for weight loss, hormone therapy or peptides. The initial consultation is free. Its pricing page lists three session packages, each good for any service: $50 for 4 sessions, valid one month; $150 for 12 sessions, valid 3 months; and $200 for 20 sessions, valid 6 months. The page does not say whether medication is included in a session or a package.
The clinic does not accept or bill insurance, so visits are paid out of pocket. Its hormone pages say patients can pay with an HSA or FSA card. The clinic offers no subscriptions and no long-term commitments, but the packages do run out after their set period. Hormone therapy requires a full lab panel before treatment and another lab check 4-6 weeks after starting. The clinic does not publish what labs cost.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who writes each prescription and who covers when Dr. Parrish is away. Ask whether a package price includes the medication, and what a single visit costs without a package. For weight loss, ask which medications are offered and whether each is brand-name or compounded. For peptides, ask which products are compounded. The peptide page describes its formulations as professionally compounded and names a 503A/503B pharmacy partner. Ask whether each peptide is FDA-approved for the use you would pay for, because the clinic's own peptide page says many peptide therapies are not FDA-approved for wellness, performance, recovery or longevity purposes.
Ask what labs cost and whether follow-up lab work is included. Ask whether telehealth is available, since the clinic does not say. Finally, ask how you would cancel and what happens to unused sessions. There are no long-term commitments, but the clinic does not say what happens to a package that goes unused.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want DOT physical care and hormone, weight loss or peptide care in one cash-pay office in central Virginia, and you are willing to get answers on medication, labs and cancellation before you pay. If you need insurance billing or telehealth, confirm those with the office first.
