About Seriously Health
What is Seriously Health?
Seriously Health is a medical weight loss clinic at 130 Business Park Dr., Virginia Beach, VA 23462. The front desk is 757-219-2020. It is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, and Saturday, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, and it is closed Sunday. It has been open since 2010, and its Google rating is 4.9 from 414 reviews.
Weight loss is the main work, with prescription GLP-1 medications and oral stimulants. It also offers NAD+ therapy and lipotropic injections. Four people prescribe there: Patrick Fortes, MD, and the family nurse practitioners Veronica Malone, FNP, Nisha Rathnayake, FNP, and Gaida Celiz, FNP. Telehealth is available, but only to Virginia residents. The clinic does not provide emergency or urgent care.
In its own words: "Our expert team offers oral, injectable, and supplemental weight loss medications tailored to each patient’s goals."
What does it cost?
GLP-1 treatment starts at $299 a month, and the clinic does not say whether medication is included in that price. It also advertises 3 Month memberships starting at $89/month, so ask which price applies. The initial visit is $150, and each monthly follow-up is $100. It does not publish prices for NAD+ or lipotropic injections.
It does not accept insurance. It takes credit and debit cards, cash, CareCredit, and HSA or FSA funds for appointments. Every booking requires a 50% deposit. You can cancel or reschedule more than 24 hours ahead at no charge. Inside 24 hours, the deposit is forfeited. Medication cannot be refunded once it has been ordered or delivered. It uses no subscriptions or auto-payments, but the $89 offer is called a membership, so ask what it commits you to.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who signs your prescription and whether you will see the same clinician each time, since you can choose and change providers. Ask whether the $299 price includes medication, and whether that medication is brand-name or compounded. It does not name the medications it prescribes, so ask for them. Ask what lab work and follow-up cost beyond the $100 visit, and what NAD+ and lipotropic injections cost. Ask about age, too. It treats patients 12 and older, but also says you must be 18 to consent.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you live in Virginia, will pay cash or by card rather than insurance, and want the medication, lab, and follow-up costs confirmed before you pay the 50% deposit. It is not a fit if you need urgent or emergency care.
