About Vamos Health

What is Vamos Health?

Vamos Health is a bilingual clinic with offices in Phoenix, Arizona, and several Utah towns, including West Valley City, Ogden and Orem. Google files it as an urgent care center, and most of what it lists fits that: urgent care, primary care, diabetes, migraine, women's and men's health, pediatrics, sports medicine, family planning and occupational health. Weight loss is one service among several, alongside IV hydration and beauty. It runs on cash memberships and says they suit people with or without insurance. Its Google rating is 4.4 stars from 312 reviews.

Its weight loss program pairs personalized nutrition and fitness plans with regular check-ins with a doctor. It says medication is prescribed when appropriate, and its menu lists GLP-1 treatment, but it names no drug. It describes a doctor-led team without naming a prescriber or listing any credentials. It advertises extended hours but publishes none, and it does not say how long it has been open. The main line is (866) 998-2667. In its own words: "Access to telemedicine visits and extended hours that fit your busy schedule."

This listing is for its West Valley City office at 3725 W 4100 S Ste 107.

What does it cost?

Membership is billed monthly. It says it asks for no documents and runs no credit check, and you need an active card. Three plans are listed.

VamosCore is $84.99 a month. It covers unlimited in-clinic visits for a $4 copay, unlimited telemedicine, minor urgent care and 12 standard lab tests as needed. Members also get discounts on weight loss injections. It is sold on six-month or one-year terms.

VamosVital is $49.99 a month. In-clinic visits and urgent care carry copays of $50 to $65, telemedicine is $35 a visit, and 12 standard lab tests a year are included. It is sold on a one-year term.

Vamos+ is $19.99 a month, for patients who have insurance, and it is offered only in Utah. Its listed benefits are injection discounts, phone plan and entertainment perks, and member classes, with no visit coverage listed.

Memberships, it says, work alongside high-deductible and HSA plans. It does not publish prices for weight loss medication, does not say whether medication is included in any membership, and does not state a consultation fee or cancellation terms.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who prescribes, and get the prescriber's name and credentials in writing before you pay. Ask whether weight loss medication is included in the monthly fee or billed on top, and what the injection discounts actually cost. Ask whether the medication is brand-name or compounded, and who supplies it. Ask whether a weight loss visit falls under the $4 copay or carries a separate consultation fee. Ask what lab work and follow-up cost beyond the included tests. Ask how a six-month or one-year term is cancelled and whether any money is refunded. If you plan to use telemedicine from outside Utah or Arizona, ask which state's licensing applies to your care.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want a cash membership for everyday primary and urgent care, in Spanish or English, and you are ready to get the medication price and prescriber's name in writing before you join for weight loss. If you need a published weight loss price or a named prescriber before you commit, wait until the clinic gives you those answers.
