What is Utah Stem Cells?
Utah Stem Cells is a regenerative medicine and aesthetics clinic at 9980 S 300 W, Suite 150, in Sandy, UT 84070. Most of its menu is regenerative and cosmetic, including stem cell joint regeneration, PRP joint treatment, hair restoration, IV therapy, ketamine therapy, Galleri cancer screening and Botox or dermal fillers. Three of its services fall under weight, hormone and peptide care: medical weight loss, hormone pellet therapy and peptide therapy. Dr. William Cimikoski, MD, is the one person named as prescriber, and the clinic calls him its Medical Director. It says it has 15+ years in regenerative medicine, and Google lists it at 4.7 from 90 reviews in the Medical clinic category.
The weight loss program combines a physician evaluation, a structured nutrition plan and ongoing check-ins, and GLP-1 medications may be part of it for appropriate candidates. The clinic also states that stem cells are not a weight-loss treatment. Hormone pellet therapy for men and women follows a physician evaluation and lab work. Peptide therapy is discussed during evaluation, and the clinic names BPC-157, TB-500, Sermorelin, CJC-1295, Ipamorelin and PT-141. In its own words: "We believe in honest, evidence-informed care". It welcomes patients from across the Salt Lake Valley, including Salt Lake City, South Jordan, Draper and Kaysville.
What does it cost?
It does not publish prices for weight loss, hormone or peptide care. It also gives no consultation fee and does not say whether medication is included in any price, whether it accepts insurance, or whether it offers telehealth. It lists office hours of Monday through Friday, 10:00 to 18:00, but call (801) 999-4860 to confirm them. Ask for every cost in writing before you commit: the consultation, the program or pellet fee, medication, lab work and follow-up visits.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who evaluates you, who signs any prescription, and whether Dr. Cimikoski sees you at each visit. For weight loss, ask whether the program fee includes GLP-1 medication and whether that medication is brand-name or compounded. For peptides, ask which of the named peptides you would be offered, whether each is a manufactured drug or a compounded one, and which pharmacy supplies it. For hormone pellets, ask which labs are required, what they cost, and how often you return for repeat labs and the next pellet.
Also ask how to cancel, whether there is a notice period or fee, and whether any charge for the program is recurring. The clinic does not name a longevity or anti-aging medicine service, so ask whether one exists if that is what you want.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you are in or near the Salt Lake Valley, want a physician-led visit for weight, hormone or peptide care, and are ready to pay cash once you have written prices in hand. If you need the total cost settled before the first visit, get it in writing before you book.
