What is Unite Fitness Retreat?
Unite Fitness Retreat is a live-in weight loss and fitness retreat at 100 South 345 West, Salt Lake City, Utah, open since 2011. Its main business is the retreat itself: small-group training with certified personal trainers, chef-prepared meals, and lodging in its own lofts or at the adjacent Marriott. Google lists it as a weight loss service, rated 4.9 from 62 reviews.
Medical care is one of six listed services, alongside fitness, nutrition, mindfulness, a menopause program and a longevity program. The longevity program includes a blood panel, expert medical review and a 90-day roadmap. Medical Weight Loss is aimed at people on a GLP-1 medication, or thinking about starting or stopping one. Ozempic is the only drug named, and it appears in a guest's quote. Its team includes nurse practitioners, but none are named and it does not say who prescribes. In its own words: "We’re a fitness and wellness program, not a treatment facility."
This listing is for its Salt Lake City office at 100 South 345 West.
What does it cost?
Retreat stays are priced in full, with a $1500 deposit to book. A 3-day stay is $2400, one week is $4250, and two weeks is $3950 a week. Three weeks is $3750 a week plus $500 in experience credits, and four weeks or more is $3650 a week plus $1500 in credits. Lodging, chef-prepared meals, classes, coaching, the 21-point assessment, taxes and gratuities are included. Experience credits go toward private services, upgraded lodging or add-ons.
The medical programs have no published price. The clinic does not say whether medication is included in any fee.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who signs the prescription and what that person's credentials are. Ask whether any program fee includes the medication, and whether the drug is brand-name or compounded. Ask what a Medical Weight Loss program costs per month, and what follow-up visits and the blood panel cost. Ask whether telehealth is offered and whether insurance is accepted, since neither is published. Ask whether the $1500 deposit comes back if you cancel, and how cancellation works for the medical programs. Its own disclaimer says you should not begin the program without your doctor's consent, so get that before you book.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want a structured, live-in fitness retreat at a published price, and you treat the medical services as an add-on you still need to check. It is not the right choice if you need a named prescriber before you pay, or if you are in acute medical or psychiatric crisis, which it does not treat.
