About NuMed Clinic

What is NuMed Clinic?

NuMed Clinic is a med spa at 1429 S State Street in Orem, UT 84097. Most of what it does is aesthetic and spa work: skin treatments, laser, body contouring and injectables. Its wellness menu is the part that overlaps with medical weight loss and hormone therapy. It lists IV therapy, vitamin B12 injections, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), nutrition, sexual health, steroid and hyaluronic acid injections, and weight loss. Its menu also lists primary care, but the clinic does not describe what that covers.

The only prescriber the clinic names is Enga Nergui, APRN, DNP. On hormones, the clinic writes in its own words: "BHRT comes in several different forms, and at NuMed Clinic, we carefully take into consideration your symptoms, medical conditions, and history before making a recommendation for a specific treatment." Hours are listed for Wednesday from 11am to 3pm and for Thursday and Friday from 10:30am to 5pm. Google lists the clinic as a weight loss service and shows a 4.9 rating from 44 reviews. The clinic does not say how long it has been open or what area it serves.

What does it cost?

NuMed Clinic does not publish prices. The only pricing it shows is a price range of $$, with no dollar amounts. It does not state a consultation fee, whether it accepts insurance, or whether its fees include medication. It does not mention HSA payments or financing either. Before you book, call (801) 830-4305 and ask for the cost of a first visit and a follow-up, in writing.

What should you ask before you book?

Start with who prescribes. Enga Nergui is the only prescriber named, but the clinic describes itself mainly as a med spa, so ask whether she would write your prescription and how she handles weight loss in particular. Ask which weight loss medication, if any, the program uses, and whether it is brand-name or compounded. The clinic names none. Ask whether the monthly fee covers the medication or whether you pay a pharmacy separately.

The clinic's weight loss description makes one claim worth testing. In its own words: "Weight loss is really about correcting your nutrition, managing your stress, and for some, working with or around chronic diseases and medical conditions." Ask what that looks like in practice. Who handles nutrition? Is stress or an existing condition part of the plan, and is that included in the price?

For hormone therapy, ask what lab work is required, what it costs, and how often follow-up visits happen. Ask whether telehealth visits are available, whether insurance is accepted, and how cancellation works, including whether prepaid visits are refunded.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want aesthetic and wellness care in one Orem office and are willing to get fees and medication terms in writing before you commit. It is a weaker fit if you need a published price, insurance billing, or a clear answer on which weight loss medication is used before your first visit.
