What is Maven Medical Arts?

Maven Medical Arts is mainly a medical spa, with offices in Draper and Park City, Utah. The Draper office opened in November 2019. Much of the menu is aesthetic work, including injectables, laser hair removal, Morpheus8, Forma V and hair restoration. It also offers IV therapy and lymphatic massage. Two of its services are medical programs: weight loss and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT).

The weight loss program uses Semaglutide or Tirzepatide, given as once-weekly injections under the skin. Patients are monitored weekly, and the practitioner can adjust the dose as needed. In its own words: "expert medical supervision and guidance throughout customized weight loss plans."

BHRT is offered as BioTe pellet therapy. Pellets are placed under the skin at an in-office visit after lab work, and they are reinserted several times a year. What does it cost?

It does not publish prices for weight loss or hormone therapy. It does not say whether medication is included in any price, whether it accepts insurance, or whether it offers telehealth. The first visit is called a complimentary consultation. The clinic also lists something called Club Maven but does not say what it costs. Ask for every charge in writing before you book: the consultation, the medication, each weekly visit, lab work and each pellet insertion.

Who signs the prescription? The clinic names no physician, and it gives no credential for Erin Roberts. Ask who reviews and signs the weight loss prescription, and what license that person holds.

Does the monthly fee include the medication? Ask whether the Semaglutide or Tirzepatide is brand-name or compounded.

What do the weekly visits and lab work cost? For hormone therapy, ask how many pellet insertions you will need in a year and what each one costs.

The clinic asks patients to commit to at least 3 months of treatment. Ask what happens to your payments if you stop sooner, and how to cancel.

This is a good fit if you want weight loss or hormone therapy at a practice that is mainly a medical spa, and you are willing to get prices and the prescriber's credentials in writing before you pay.
