What is Spa Trouve?
Spa Trouve is a medical spa with offices in Bountiful, Draper, Orem, Pleasant Grove, Saratoga Springs and St. George, Utah. It also offers weight loss care by telehealth. Most of its services are aesthetic: Botox and Dysport, dermal fillers, CoolSculpting, laser hair removal, chemical peels, microneedling, Hydrafacial and hair restoration. Its weight loss and wellness offerings are Weight Loss Injections and NAD+. It does not list hormone therapy or peptide therapy.
The weight loss prescribers are Brittney Adams, NP and Kelly Jones, NP, who see patients by telehealth. Carolyn Hansen, FNP, works at St. George, and Anna Croft, PA-C, works at Bountiful and Draper. None of the listed prescribers is a physician. The clinic is rated 5 on Google across 273 reviews.
What does it cost?
The weight loss program is listed at $199 a month on a three-month payment plan, priced per vial. Other spots on its website show $179 a month, $250 a month, and $700 per vial, so ask which price you will actually pay. It does not say whether the medication is included in the monthly fee.
The clinic does not bill insurance for weight loss medication. In its own words: "Spa Trouvé does not accept insurance for weight loss medications because we use a compounded version, which cannot be billed to insurance." Financing runs through Alle Pay, with 0% interest options for paid-in-full payments. Weight loss members receive one free skin tightening treatment. Monthly wellness memberships are listed at $189 a month. The consultation is free. No price is listed for NAD+.
Cancelling a membership takes 30 days' notice, and only after the first year of the contract. Any money left over must be spent on skincare and injection services at Spa Trouve.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask which prescriber will sign your prescription, and whether that visit is in person or by telehealth. Telehealth is offered, but it does not name the states it covers. Ask whether the monthly fee includes the medication, and which active ingredient the compounded version contains, since no medication name is given. Ask what follow-up visits cost and how often you will need them. The weight loss information says follow-ups are required for refills and last 5-15 minutes. Ask which conditions would rule you out, and what the consultation screens for. Ask what the NAD+ price is, and whether an HSA card can be used. Ask for office hours, which are not listed. Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want a cash-pay weight loss program prescribed by a nurse practitioner or physician assistant, in person or by telehealth, and you also want skin, laser or body treatments in the same place. It is not a fit if you need a physician or hormone therapy.
