About Custom Health Waco
What is Custom Health Waco?
Custom Health Waco is a cash-pay medical weight loss practice at 4700 Bosque Blvd, Suite K, in Waco, Texas. Its main work is weight management. Amanda Burke, FNP is the only prescriber the clinic names, and she is a family nurse practitioner with over 13 years of experience. Janyce Haskett, RN is the client advocate and chief nursing officer, and Nancy Baird is the patient care coordinator.
The clinic lists medically supervised weight loss, a GLP-1 program, a semaglutide program, a traditional medication plan, an initial evaluation, an initial metabolic lab assessment, and MIC B injections. It does not list hormone therapy, peptide therapy or longevity services. In its own words, the clinic is "a cash-only practice." Posted hours are Tuesday 9 AM to 6 PM, Wednesday 10 AM to 3 PM and Thursday 9 AM to 3 PM.
What does it cost?
The initial evaluation is $159. The initial metabolic lab assessment is $99 and is not included with the evaluation. The traditional medication plan is $139 a month and covers bi-weekly visits with the care team, prescription management and personalized coaching. It does not say whether medication is included in that plan.
The GLP-1 program costs $324 for the first month, $344 for months 2 and 3, and $354 from month 4 on. The semaglutide program costs $279 for the first month, $299 for months 2 and 3, and $309 from month 4 on. Both programs list the cost of medication as included. MIC B injections cost $20 each or $80 for a bundle of 5, and they are listed as needed only.
The clinic does not bill insurance for office visits. Lab work can be billed to insurance on request, though the clinic describes its cash lab pricing as often lower. It does not publish financing, HSA, membership or cancellation terms. It also shows a limited-time $99 off banner without saying what the discount applies to.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who will write your prescription. Amanda Burke is the only prescriber named, so ask whether she or another provider handles it, and which visits are with a provider and which are with a patient counselor. Ask whether the semaglutide and GLP-1 medications are brand-name or compounded, because the clinic does not say. Ask whether the program fee covers every visit and every dose, and what lab work costs beyond the $99 assessment.
The clinic lists phone, tablet and computer as ways to reach the office, but it does not say whether visits can be done by video. Ask that directly. Ask about Monday or Friday appointments, since the posted hours cover Tuesday through Thursday only. Ask how you cancel and whether you are billed for months you do not attend. Ask what the $99 off offer requires. Finally, ask how the clinic decides who qualifies. The clinic's guidance gives a BMI of 30 or greater as the general guide, and 27 with an obesity-related condition such as hypertension, diabetes or a lipid disorder.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want medically supervised weight loss with office visits in Waco, can pay cash every month, and want a named nurse practitioner as your prescriber. It is less likely to fit if you need insurance billing, hormone, peptide or longevity care, or video visits the clinic has not confirmed.
