What is Riceland Healthcare?
Riceland Healthcare is a multi-specialty healthcare network in Southeast Texas, with offices in Beaumont, Nederland, Port Arthur, Vidor, Winnie, Silsbee and Bridge City. Its services run from primary care, pediatrics and urgent care to pain management, endocrinology, sleep medicine, behavioral health, hospice and home health. It lists 65+ years in operation and more than 20 locations. Google shows it at 4.7 from 39 reviews.
Its weight loss program sits under Riceland Med Spa, which also offers injectables, aesthetic enhancements and revitalizing therapies. The program has four parts: medical weight loss plans, nutritional counseling, body contouring and support and motivation. In its own words: "Our medical weight loss plans are tailored to each patient, considering their unique health history, lifestyle, and goals." The plans may include prescription medications, hormone therapy or metabolic testing. The weight loss page does not name a prescriber or a specific weight loss medication.
This listing is for its Vidor office at 20925 I-10.
What does it cost?
It does not publish prices for the weight loss program or a consultation fee. It also does not say whether any monthly fee includes medication, or whether it offers memberships, financing or HSA payment. On insurance, it says: "We accept a variety of insurance plans and offer flexible payment options to ensure you receive the care you need." Its insurance list includes Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, Cigna, Humana, UnitedHealthcare, Medicare and Medicaid, among others. It does not say whether those plans cover weight loss visits or medication.
What should you ask before you book?
Start by asking which physician prescribes weight loss medication and who supervises the plan, since the program page names neither. Ask whether any medication is brand-name or compounded, and whether its cost is part of the program fee or billed separately. Ask what follow-up visits, check-ins, metabolic testing and lab work cost, and whether nutritional counseling and body contouring are billed on their own.
Ask whether visits can be done by telehealth, because the clinic does not say. Ask whether your insurance covers any part of the weight loss program, and how billing works if it does not. Finally, ask how you cancel and whether the program requires a contract or minimum number of visits.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you live near one of its towns and want weight loss care from a large medical network, and you are willing to call first to learn who prescribes, what medication is included and what the program costs. If you need prices or telehealth before you book, it is worth calling before you make an appointment.

We have not yet collected published prices or prescriber credentials for this clinic. When we do, they will appear here with a link to the page they came from — or a note saying the clinic publishes none, which is itself worth knowing. Call them for a price in the meantime.
