About William R. Rogers, DO
What is William R. Rogers, DO?
William R. Rogers, DO is a family medicine practice, also called Stagecoach Family Medicine, at 310 Stagecoach Trail, Suite 200A, San Marcos, TX 78666. The phone is (512) 396-4700. The prescriber is William Rogers, DO, MPH, who says he has practiced family medicine for over 45 years. He is board certified in family medicine and holds two further board certifications, one in anti-aging medicine from A4M and one in clinical nutrition from IAACN.
The practice describes itself as blending traditional medical care with integrative medicine. Weight loss programs and hormone replacement therapy sit alongside osteopathic adjustments, EKGs, ultrasounds, laceration repair, diabetes and blood pressure management, and PRP treatments. It does not name the medications used for weight loss or hormone therapy, and it does not describe peptide therapy or a longevity program. Google lists it as a medical clinic with a 4.7 rating from 18 reviews. Office hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:00am to 1:00pm, and Friday from 9:00 to 12:00 for the front office only, with no appointments. It offers telemedicine visits when requested.
What does it cost?
The practice is cash pay only. In its own words: "We do not accept insurance, however, insurance can be used for labs and radiology orders." Patients can file their own claims, though Medicare patients cannot, and HSA cards can be used for services and vitamins.
A new patient visit is $250. An estimated in-person visit is $135 to $160, and a wellness exam runs $110 to $200 depending on age. A new patient telemedicine visit is $175, and an established patient telemedicine visit is $85. The membership is $115 a month or $1,250 a year. It includes $25 office visits, $10 telemedicine visits, 25% off labs, 20% off procedures and programs, and a free annual exam with bloodwork. Cancellation terms for the membership are not stated.
It does not publish prices for weight loss programs or hormone replacement therapy. It says to call for pricing on various labs, injections and other treatments. It does not say whether medication is included in any price. Call (512) 396-4700 for fees.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who writes the weight loss or hormone prescription, and how often you would be seen. Ask what the weight loss program costs in total and whether any fee includes the medication. Ask whether the drug is brand name or compounded, and where it is filled.
Ask what follow-up visits and lab work cost. Labs can be billed to insurance, and the membership gives 25% off labs, so ask how those two options compare for you. Ask what the asterisk beside the free annual exam means. Ask how the membership is cancelled and whether it has a minimum term. If you live outside Texas, ask which states the telemedicine visits can be held in, since the clinic does not name them.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you plan to pay cash, want a family doctor you can see in person Monday through Thursday or by telemedicine, and are willing to call for pricing on weight loss or hormone care before you book. It may not suit you if you need a published price and a named medication in writing before you commit.
