What is Gruene House Med Spa?
Gruene House Med Spa is a medical spa at 1433 Hanz Dr. in New Braunfels, Texas. Most of what it offers is cosmetic, with medical services alongside. In its own words: "We offer both medical and cosmetic services, so you can be sure that whatever your needs may be, we have you covered."
Dr. Z. Shah, MD, is the medical director and the only prescriber named. The clinic describes him as a board certified internal medicine physician and United States Air Force veteran, and as a certified specialist in injections, fillers, cosmetic lasers and bioidentical hormone replacement/antiaging medicine.
The clinic lists seven services: Anti-Aging, Lash & Beauty, Laser Therapy, Intimates, CoolSculpting, IV Nutrition and Peptides. Of the four areas this directory covers, it offers peptide therapy, hormone replacement, a weight loss program and anti-aging medicine. It does not name the peptides it uses, and it does not describe how a weight loss program works or which medications it involves. Google shows a 4.8 rating from 276 reviews, in the Medical spa category.
What does it cost?
It does not publish prices for weight loss, hormone therapy or peptides. The only dollar figures are specials. The October specials include $100 off HRT for male and females on Mind & Body Monday, and 20% off weight loss programs on Weight Loss Wednesdays. Specials apply only on their own days and cannot be combined with other offers.
It does not give a consultation fee, say whether insurance is accepted, or say whether medication is included in a program. A membership is listed, but its terms are not. Call (830) 312-4466 and ask for each price before you commit.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who signs the prescription for hormone therapy, peptides or a weight loss program. Reviews mention other staff, but Dr. Shah is the only prescriber named. Then ask whether the monthly fee includes the medication or whether it is billed separately.
For peptides, ask which ones are offered and whether each is brand-name or compounded. The clinic names no peptides or medications, so get the answer on a call or in writing. Ask what visits, lab work and follow-up cost, and whether a consultation fee applies.
Ask whether insurance is billed at all, whether telehealth is offered, and what the hours are. None of these are published. Ask how to cancel a membership or program and whether any fee is due. Finally, confirm the suite number. Some map listings show suite 105, but the address on the website has no suite.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want a physician-led med spa and are ready to ask about prices and medication details before you book. If you need a published price list to compare programs, call first and get the numbers in writing.
