What is Aesthetic Alchemy?
Aesthetic Alchemy is a medical spa at 10905 Quaker Ave in Lubbock, Texas, with a day spa side as well. Its main business is aesthetic work: Botox and other injectables, fillers, skin rejuvenation, body contouring, hair restoration and nail care. Weight management is one of its nine listed services. It is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm and Saturday from 10am to 3pm, and the phone number is (806) 722-9855.
Heidi Jeffreys, PA-C, is the clinic's CEO and co-founder. Yvette McCabe, RN, is the other person it names. For weight management it names two medications, tirzepatide and semaglutide. In its own words: "Before being placed on any medication, you will fill out a detailed health history questionnaire."
What does it cost?
It does not publish a weight loss price, and it does not say whether medication is included in any price. The only prices it publishes are for injector training: $150 an hour or $4,500 for 5 days, and $2,000 for 4 hours or $3,800 for 8 hours of private training. Those prices are for people learning to inject, not for patients.
It advertises a free consultation, but it does not say whether that consultation covers weight loss or what it costs if it doesn't. It does not say whether it accepts insurance, HSA or financing. It does not describe membership terms or cancellation.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who signs the prescription. It does not name who prescribes its weight loss medications. Heidi Jeffreys, PA-C and Yvette McCabe, RN are the two people it names, so ask which of them, if either, would prescribe tirzepatide or semaglutide for you.
Ask whether the monthly fee includes the medication, and whether the drug is brand-name or compounded. Ask what follow-up visits and lab work cost, and whether they are billed separately. Ask whether telehealth is available, since it does not say. Ask whether the free consultation applies to weight loss, and whether insurance or an HSA card can be used. Ask how cancellation works and whether there is a minimum commitment.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you live near Lubbock, want a med spa that also runs a weight management program, and are ready to get the answers above in writing before you pay for anything.
