About Prosper Medicine

What is Prosper Medicine?

Prosper Medicine is a physician-led longevity concierge practice in Houston, Texas. Its main work is ongoing, membership-based care built around testing: 250+ markers, DEXA body composition scans, biological age testing and more. Its therapies are peptide therapy, weight and body composition, hormone optimization, functional nutrition and IV therapy.

The weight and body composition program starts with DEXA and metabolic testing. GLP-1 medications, including semaglutide, are part of the approach when appropriate, and only with physician oversight, nutrition, resistance training and lab monitoring. Hormone optimization covers HRT and TRT tuned to lab results. Peptide protocols are individualized and monitored against labs. Prosper states that peptides are not a cure or approved treatment for any disease, and that many are not FDA-approved for these uses.

The physicians who prescribe are Dr. Amir Saeed, MD and Dr. Humza Ahmed. No credentials are published for Dr. Ahmed. Prosper also lists a Los Angeles, California location, with no street address and no details of what it offers there.

What does it cost?

Prosper does not publish prices. It is cash pay only and does not take insurance. Memberships come in three tiers, Core, Black and Apex, sold as a flat subscription, and you request an invite to join. The cost of each tier is not stated. The first step is a complimentary meet and greet. Every lab panel is included in a membership, but Prosper does not say whether medication is included in any price, or whether financing or HSA payment is accepted.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who signs each prescription, and whether a physician reviews your labs before any medication is started. Ask whether the membership fee includes medication. For a GLP-1 drug such as semaglutide, ask whether it is brand-name or compounded, and which pharmacy fills it. If peptides are proposed, ask which ones, and whether each is FDA-approved for that use. Ask what follow-up visits, lab work and imaging cost outside the membership, whether any part of your care can be done by video, and how cancellation and refunds work.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want ongoing, physician-led care with regular testing and you are ready to pay a flat membership out of pocket. It is less suited to you if you need a published price before you call, or if you need insurance to cover your visits.
