About WellShift Health
What is WellShift Health?
WellShift Health is a clinic at 501 S Austin Ave #1220 in Georgetown, Texas. It sees patients in person and by telehealth, and it describes its focus as functional medicine, lifestyle medicine, preventive care, and longevity. Its services are functional medicine lab testing, peptide therapy, hormone therapy, medical weight loss, low testosterone treatment for men, and a one-time individual consultation.
Three people are named as prescribers: Dr. Robert Fredrickson, DC, functional medicine director; Stephanie Brown, PA, head of medical protocols; and Dr. Chase Kornegay, medical director. The DC after Dr. Fredrickson's name stands for Doctor of Chiropractic, so it is worth asking which of the three would write your prescription. For weight loss, WellShift writes: In its own words: "If necessary, we can incorporate GLP-1 therapy while prioritizing diet and exercise to preserve muscle and support long-term metabolic health." It does not name a GLP-1 medication. Its Google listing shows a rating of 5 from 11 reviews.
What does it cost?
The first step is a free 15-minute discovery call by phone or video. The one-time Individual Consultation is $250. It runs 60 minutes and covers a health history review, lab recommendations, and a customized plan, with no ongoing membership required. Lab testing goes through Quest Diagnostics at what WellShift calls wholesale practitioner pricing, but it does not publish those lab prices.
Ongoing care is sold as memberships. WellShift says medication and therapy pricing "vary depending on the specific treatment protocol and starting dose," and that some therapies start around $200 per month. It does not say whether that starting price includes medication. Its membership description lists medication among what memberships include, followed by an asterisk it does not explain. It does not say whether insurance is accepted, or how a membership is cancelled.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask whether the monthly price includes the medication, or whether the drug is billed on top. Ask whether any GLP-1 medication would be brand-name or compounded, and which one. Ask what follow-up visits and lab work cost each month, whether a membership can be cancelled, and what fee applies. Ask which of the three named people would sign your prescription, and whether insurance is accepted in any form.
Telehealth is offered in Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, and Arkansas. If you live elsewhere, ask whether a visit is possible and how any medication would reach you. Friday hours are listed as 09:00 to 2:00, so confirm when the office is open before you plan a visit. You can call 512 270-0574 to ask.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want functional lab work and a written plan, can attend in person or by video, and will get the medication cost in writing before you join a membership. It is a weaker fit if you need a fixed all-in monthly price or insurance to cover any part of your care.
