What is Center For Healthy Weight?
Center For Healthy Weight is a medical weight loss practice at 359 E. Parkwood Avenue in Friendswood, TX 77546. The phone number is (832) 619-1373. It offers "physician-directed weight loss for men and women age 16 and older." In its own words: "we focus on healthy, physician-directed weight loss for men and women age 16 and older."
Ana Morales, MD, is described as a board-certified obstetrician gynecologist who has been in practice since 1999. Jan Knight Bateman is also named as one of the two weight loss doctors, but that person's credentials are not given. Both doctors are listed as active members of the Obesity Medicine Association. Google lists the practice under Obstetrician-gynecologist, and it has one Google review, rated 5.
Three services are offered: Healthy Weight Loss, Body Contouring and BIOTE. Only the weight loss program is described in any detail, and the services listing is still marked as coming soon. Office hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Friday 8:30 am to 12:00 pm, and closed on weekends.
What does it cost?
It does not publish prices. The only pricing language is "Call for pricing options." It does not list a consultation fee, and it does not say whether medication is included in any program cost. It also does not say whether insurance is accepted or whether telehealth is offered. Ask for each of these before you book, and ask for the answers in writing if you can.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who writes the prescription. The clinic names two doctors, but only Ana Morales, MD, has a stated credential. Ask what credentials Jan Knight Bateman holds and what training that doctor has in obesity medicine.
Ask which medications the program uses. The clinic does not name any. If a medication is part of the plan, ask whether it is brand-name or compounded, and whether its cost is included in the program fee or billed separately.
Ask what follow-up visits and lab work cost. Three phases are described: active, transition and maintenance, and "extensive follow-ups" is mentioned during maintenance. Ask whether the cost of follow-up changes from one phase to the next.
Ask how appointments are booked. Appointment requests go to a separate gynecology website through its klara system. Ask whether a weight loss consultation is booked there too.
Ask how cancellation works and whether any fee is refundable. Ask whether telehealth or insurance is available. Ask what Body Contouring and BIOTE involve and who provides them, since the clinic does not describe either one.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want an in-person, physician-led weight loss program in Friendswood, you are 16 or older, and you are willing to ask about prices and prescribers before you commit. If you need published prices or telehealth before you call, plan on getting those answers by phone first.

We have not yet collected published prices or prescriber credentials for this clinic. When we do, they will appear here with a link to the page they came from — or a note saying the clinic publishes none, which is itself worth knowing. Call them for a price in the meantime.
