About ADI MedSpa

What is ADI MedSpa?

ADI MedSpa is a physician-led medical spa at 11331 James Watt Rd, Bldg. 100, El Paso, TX 79936. It is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and closed Saturday and Sunday. Its main business is aesthetics: Botox, dermal fillers, laser hair removal, Morpheus8 and other skin and laser treatments, facials, tattoo removal and PRF. Hormone replacement therapy and weight loss programs are offered alongside those.

Dr. Farooque Ahmed, MD, is the medical director and the only prescriber named. Dr. Ahmed is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician with 30 years of medical expertise. The team also includes nurse practitioners, who work under physician oversight, but they are not named.

The weight loss program uses compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide. Compounded means a licensed compounding pharmacy prepares the medication, typically dispensed in vials rather than branded pens, and it is not the FDA-approved brand-name product. The first step is a one-on-one, in-person consultation. Medication is not required for every plan. In its own words: "Medicine first. Beauty follows." You can call (915) 474-3239.

What does it cost?

The first visit is a complimentary consultation with one of its providers. It does not publish a price for its weight loss program or its GLP-1 medications, and it does not say whether medication is included in any program price. The only published price is the Laser Hair Removal membership at $149 a month, which covers monthly laser hair treatment on any body part you choose. Treatment plans can be paid over time through Care Credit & PatientFi. It does not say whether it accepts insurance, and it does not state membership cancellation terms.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who writes your prescription and how often you will see Dr. Ahmed compared with a nurse practitioner, since only Dr. Ahmed is named. Ask whether the monthly program fee includes the medication and supplies, and what your total monthly cost would be. Ask which compounding pharmacy fills the prescription and whether it is licensed. Ask what lab work and follow-up visits cost and whether they are part of the program fee. Ask how you cancel a program or the membership, and whether there is a minimum commitment. If you want a virtual visit, ask, because it does not say whether it offers telehealth. If you use financing, ask about interest and fees.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want one physician-led office in El Paso where weight loss sits alongside aesthetic treatments, you expect to pay out of pocket or through financing, and you want compounded medication explained in person before you decide. It may not suit you if you need insurance billing, a brand-name medication, or a price for the weight loss program before you walk in.
