What is Corpus Christi Integrative Clinic?
Corpus Christi Integrative Clinic is a primary care clinic at 400 Mann Street, Suite 107, in Corpus Christi, Texas. It also offers addiction treatment, IV infusions, injections and Wellness Plus Weight Loss Programs. Weight loss is one service among several. It is open 8:00 am to 12:00 pm on Monday and Tuesday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on Wednesday and Friday, and 9:00 am to 7:00 pm on Thursday. Saturday is by appointment only. Google lists it at 4.3 from 17 reviews.
The weight loss program is described this way. In its own words: "We offer individualized medication assisted weight loss programs where we monitor your progress." It does not name the weight loss medication, and it does not name the prescriber who runs the program. Botox is the only medication it names, listed at $14 a unit.
What does it cost?
The weight loss program is $100 a week or $300 a month. It does not say what either price covers or whether medication is included. It does not publish a consultation fee. Physical exams list insurance as accepted. The clinic accepts health plans from most major insurers, but it is not in network with UnitedHealthcare Medicare, and it is in network only with UnitedHealthcare's commercial plans. Medicare Annual Wellness Visits cost nothing with Medicare.
Cash prices include $250 for an initial addiction treatment visit, $125 a month for follow up addiction visits, $30 for vitamin D3 injections, $25 for B12, hydration IVs starting at $100, and antiviral IV packages from $215 to $365. Electrolyte, hangover and chelation prices vary. Cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice. Later changes carry additional fees, and the amount is not stated.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who prescribes and signs off on the weight loss program, since no prescriber is named. Ask which medication is used, whether it is brand name or compounded, and whether the $100 weekly or $300 monthly fee includes it. Ask whether the program is billed to insurance or paid in cash. The program is described as covered by most insurance companies, yet prices vary based on coverage.
Ask what the consultation costs, what follow up visits and lab work cost, and how long a program runs. The IV menu also lists a separate Weight Loss IV at $185, so ask whether that is part of the program. It does not say whether telehealth is offered. Ask that too. Booking is by phone, text or email. In its own words: "We are currently NOT accepting walk-in appointments."
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you live near Corpus Christi, can get to the office during weekday hours, and want a monitored weight loss program at a cash price you can compare. If the prescriber, the medication and what the monthly fee covers are still unclear after you ask, it is worth calling again before you pay.
