About Heritage Medical & Wellness
What is Heritage Medical & Wellness?
Heritage Medical & Wellness is an adult primary care practice at 1121 N Joe Wilson Rd, Cedar Hill, TX 75104. It serves Cedar Hill, Duncanville, DeSoto, Lancaster, Mansfield, Dallas and surrounding areas. Its services include chronic condition management, diabetes and hypertension management, annual physicals, allergy testing and wellness. Its four programs are a medical weight loss program, bioidentical hormone therapy, functional medicine and herbal supplements. It does not list peptide or longevity services.
Dr. Cecil Bailey, listed as Internal Medicine, is the physician-provider and owner. He has been a medical doctor in private practice for over 20 years, and he personally reviews and prescribes hormone therapy. In its own words: "We aim to be the primary center that patients can come to for their medical needs." It has a 4.4 rating from 9 Google reviews.
What does it cost?
It publishes several prices. The initial physician visit is $199. Diagnostic testing is $189 for basic labs with an EKG, $129 for hormone labs and $99 for metabolic labs. Monthly follow-up visits are $99 a month. The 3-month weight loss program includes medical monitoring, healthy eating coaching and a gift bag. It does not say whether medication is included in the program price, and it gives no prices for supplements, hormone therapy, meal purchases or body sculpting.
It accepts commercial insurance plans within its network and is taking new patients with those plans. It does not accept traditional Medicare, Medicare Advantage or Marketplace plans. It does not publish cancellation or auto-renewal terms.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask which medication, if any, the weight loss program uses, and whether it is brand-name or compounded. Ask whether the $99 monthly fee covers that medication or costs extra. Dr. Bailey handles hormone therapy personally, but the clinic does not say who prescribes for weight loss, so ask that directly.
Ask what repeat labs cost. Basic labs need to be repeated if the last results are more than 30 days old, and the EKG after one year. Ask whether virtual visits are billed differently and which states they cover. Ask how to cancel, how much notice you must give, and whether the plan renews on its own. If you have commercial insurance, ask the office to confirm that Dr. Bailey is in network for your plan. The phone number is (972) 299-0003.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want one physician for routine primary care along with weight loss or hormone questions, you are comfortable with some visits done virtually, and you will have the medication and cancellation terms in writing before you pay. It is less suited to you if your coverage is Medicare, Medicare Advantage or a Marketplace plan, since Dr. Bailey is not accepting new patients with those.
