About Rooted Femme

What is Rooted Femme?

Rooted Femme is a concierge medicine practice for women's health at 1101 W. 40th St, Ste 102, Austin, TX 78756. Brooke Stubbs, M.D., founded the practice and is double board-certified in Internal Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine. Shanelle Griffin, R.N., is the other person listed as a prescriber. Much of the care runs through memberships. The practice offers medical weight loss with tirzepatide or semaglutide, hormone replacement therapy, peptides, and longevity care, plus in-office lab testing, a DEXA scan, aesthetic treatments, and hair loss prescriptions.

The office is open Monday 12pm to 4pm, Tuesday through Thursday 9am to 5pm, and Friday 9am to 12pm. The phone line is (512) 920-2414. It holds a Google rating of 5 from 70 reviews. In its own words: "Rooted in lifestyle, supported by science."

What does it cost?

A consultation with Dr. Stubbs is $425 for 60 minutes, and the fee is waived if you join a membership the same day. Memberships are $250 a month (Rooted), $410 a month (Santé), or $350 a month (Aesthetic). Each is a 12 month commitment. The page says that if you cancel before 12 months, you will be charged the full price for services you received.

Weight loss medication is priced per 4 shots. Tirzepatide is $475 for members and $675 for non-members. Semaglutide is $350 for members and $550 for non-members. These prices list weekly visits, lipid and CMP labs, nutrition and exercise guides, and AmpFit sessions. The page does not say whether the medication itself is included. Membership is not required for the weight loss program. Expanded bloodwork is $250 for non-members. Peptide, hormone, and hair loss prices are not published. The office does not accept insurance for visits or in-office services, so those are paid in cash.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask whether the per-shot price includes the medication or whether the drug is billed separately. Ask whether the GLP-1 is brand-name or compounded, and which pharmacy fills it. Ask who signs your prescription and how often you will see Dr. Stubbs. Ask whether telehealth is available, since the page does not say. Ask for peptide and hormone prices before you join, because neither is published and both require a membership. Ask what follow-up visits and labs cost outside a membership, and how cancellation works in the first year. You can put these questions to the office at (512) 920-2414.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you can pay cash, can come to the Austin office during its posted hours, and want weight loss, hormone, or peptide care from a physician-led practice under a membership you can keep for a full year. It is likely a poor fit if you need insurance to cover office visits or cannot commit to 12 months.
