About Simply Women's Care

What is Simply Women's Care?

Simply Women's Care is a women's health practice on the second floor of 2016 Tollgate Boulevard in Thompsons Station, Tennessee. Two women's health nurse practitioners run it: Teri Greer, WHNP-BC, who has over 10 years of experience, and Laura Reviere, WHNP-BC, who has been practicing as a WHNP since 2014.

Its services range from menopause care and hormone replacement therapy, including bioidentical HRT, to contraception, cancer screening, PCOS, endometriosis, STI testing and weight loss counseling and management. The bioidentical HRT comes in pellets, patches, capsules and creams, for estrogen, progesterone and testosterone. Visits can be in person or virtual. Google lists the practice as a women's health clinic, rated 5 from 81 reviews. It does not publish hours, name the hormone medications it uses, or say whether its weight loss care includes GLP-1 medication.

What does it cost?

It does not publish prices or a consultation fee. It is a cash-pay practice with no membership fee, so you pay per visit. In its own words: "Payments we accept are HSA, FSA or debit/credit card." It does not say whether any price includes medication.

The practice is out-of-network and does not bill insurance directly. You receive a superbill after each visit to submit for possible reimbursement. Many insurance plans reimburse 60 to 70 percent of out-of-network care, but the practice cannot guarantee reimbursement, and checking your own plan is your job. Lab work and imaging are filed through your insurance. Portal messages or calls that take more than 5 to 10 minutes of provider time are billed as a visit. Missing an appointment or cancelling with less than 48 hours' notice carries a $75 fee.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask which prescriber, Teri Greer or Laura Reviere, will sign your prescriptions and who handles follow-up between visits. Ask whether any price includes medication, and whether the hormone products are brand-name or compounded. Ask which pharmacy fills them. New prescriptions require an office visit, so ask whether your first visit must be in person.

Ask what the first visit costs, since no consultation fee is published, and what follow-up visits and lab work will cost you directly. If you are considering weight loss care, ask whether it uses GLP-1 medication and what that adds to the price. Ask how cancellation works and whether anything you pay in advance is refundable. The practice does not list hours, so ask for them before you plan a trip. The office is on the second floor of a building without an elevator, so ask how the practice will accommodate you, or whether a telehealth visit can take its place.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want women's health care from nurse practitioners, can pay with an HSA, FSA or card or with a superbill for reimbursement, and are ready to ask the questions above before you book. It is a poor fit if you need the practice to bill your insurance directly, because it does not.
