What is Ogiso Health?
Ogiso Health is a preventive and occupational medicine practice at 2700 Gallatin Pike, Suite D, Nashville, TN 37216. Its core work is occupational medicine, including work-related injury evaluation, workers' compensation care, employer health services, and independent medical examinations for attorneys, insurers, and employers. Medical weight loss is one of its listed services, alongside primary care, urgent care, back and joint pain, mental health, personal injury, nexus letters, and an executive health program.
Olatunde Oso, MD, MSPH, is the only prescriber named. He is a board-certified preventive and occupational medicine physician. For weight loss, Ogiso Health says he develops custom medical weight loss plans for adults. The plans combine nutrition guidance, an exercise plan matched to fitness level, and, for some patients, prescription medication. The medications named are Ozempic and Wegovy. In its own words: "Dr. Oso might prescribe weight loss medication if you struggle to meet your goals with diet and exercise alone."
The office is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and closed on weekends. It names Franklin, The Gulch, East Nashville, Bellevue, Oak Hill, Forest Hills, Brentwood, and Nashville as areas it serves. Telehealth appointments are offered to patients in Tennessee and Florida.
What does it cost?
Ogiso Health does not publish a price for medical weight loss, and it does not say whether medication is included in any price. It does not publish membership or program terms either. Its consultation is free and confidential.
The only published prices are flat fees of $2,500 each, both cash pay only. One is an independent medical examination, which includes records review, examination, and a written report. The other is the executive health program. For everything else, Ogiso Health accepts cash pay, HSA or FSA funds, workers' compensation, and select insurance plans. It does not say which insurance plans, if any, cover medical weight loss.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask whether Dr. Oso will be your prescriber, and how often you will be seen in person or by telehealth. Ask whether there is a monthly program fee, and if so, whether it includes medication or bills it separately. Ask whether the medication is brand-name Ozempic or Wegovy, or a compounded version, since the practice names both drugs but does not say which it dispenses.
Ask what follow-up visits and lab work cost, and whether they are billed on top of the program. Ask how cancellation works and whether you sign a contract or membership term. If you live outside Tennessee and Florida, ask whether weight loss care is available to you by telehealth at all. Finally, ask how long the medical weight loss program has been running, since the practice does not state how many years it has been in practice.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you live in or near Nashville, or in Tennessee or Florida, and want a physician-led weight loss plan from a practice that also handles occupational medicine. If you need a published monthly price before you commit, call 615-397-6243 first and ask the questions above.
