What is Nashville Skin Company?
Nashville Skin Company is a physician-owned medical spa at 2000 Glen Echo Rd, Suite 105, Nashville, TN 37215. It has been open since 2013. Most of what it does is skin care, including facials, laser treatments, injectables, body contouring and waxing. Medical weight loss is one of its services, and it is the only one of the four areas this directory covers that appears on its list.
Dr. Silvernagel, M.D., owns the practice and handles the weight loss care. The clinic describes it this way: "Medical weight loss with compounded semaglutide at Nashville Skin Company in Nashville, prescribed and monitored by our physician." Dr. Silvernagel does the initial assessment, writes the prescription and manages dose changes. The medicine is dispensed through a licensed Tennessee compounding pharmacy, and the clinic notes that compounded medications are not FDA-approved. Its clients come from Green Hills, Franklin, Brentwood and Nashville itself.
What does it cost?
It does not publish a price for weight loss. The cost depends on the dose, which changes during treatment, and the clinic reviews it at the consultation before anything is prescribed. It does not say whether the medication is included in that price. It states no consultation fee and says nothing about insurance. Members get 10% off weight loss treatments.
Memberships come in two forms. The monthly treatment tiers cost $72 (Skin Pro), $149 (Skin Ultra) or $199 (Skin Elite) a month, and each includes one treatment a month. The Beauty Bank adds $49, $150 or $200 a month as credit you can spend on anything the clinic offers. Every membership runs on a six month minimum. After that you can stop whenever you like, and any Beauty Bank credit you have built stays yours. Single services are priced separately, for example a HydraFacial at $200 or a bikini wax at $49.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask whether the price of weight loss care includes the medication, and what you can expect to pay each month as the dose changes. Ask what the consultation costs and whether that fee goes toward treatment. Ask whether follow-up visits and lab work are extra. Ask whether telehealth is offered, since the clinic does not say. Ask whether it takes insurance or whether all weight loss care is paid in cash. Ask how you cancel weight loss care. And ask what compounded means for your treatment, since the clinic itself says compounded medications are not FDA-approved.
Booking starts with a consultation with Dr. Silvernagel. Call or text (615) 997-3330. The clinic is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00AM to 5:30PM, Thursday from 9:00AM to 8:00PM, and closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want weight loss care from the physician who runs the practice, you are comfortable with a compounded medicine the clinic itself says is not FDA-approved, and you are prepared to pay for your care out of pocket. It is a harder call if you need the full price before you book, or if you want a clinic where weight loss is the main service rather than one of many.
