What is MetroMed Health?

MetroMed Health is a hormone and metabolic health clinic with offices in Bartlett and Memphis, Tennessee. Cordova is also named as a service area. Its main services are hormone therapy, medical weight loss and peptide therapy, with IV and vitamin treatments and aesthetic work alongside them.

For men, the clinic offers testosterone replacement (TRT) and erectile dysfunction treatment. For women, it offers bio-identical hormone replacement (BHRT) for menopause and peri-menopause, along with thyroid care. What does it cost?

It does not publish prices. Pricing is in an informational brochure that its patient care coordinators will send after you text, call, email or message them on WhatsApp. On membership, it reads: "You only pay for the consultation and prescription solutions your provider prescribes a la carte."

That reads as pay-as-you-go rather than a monthly plan. The clinic does not say what the consultation costs, whether medication is included in any fee, or whether it accepts insurance. It does not mention HSA or financing either.

What should you ask before you book?

Start with the prescriber. Ask for the name and license of the provider who will sign your prescription, and whether that person sees you in person or only online.

Next, ask whether the fee you pay includes the medication. Weight loss plans are adjusted monthly, so ask what each monthly check-in costs, including lab work and follow-up visits.

For the GLP-1 medications, ask for the product name and whether it is a brand-name drug or a compounded version. These products are described as FDA-approved, so confirm that for the exact product you would receive. Ask the same question about each peptide. The list is long, and it does not say which peptides are approved, which are compounded, or who makes them.

Last, ask how cancellation works, whether you can stop without paying for another month's medication, and whether unused medication is refunded.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want hormone, weight loss or peptide care paid for out of pocket and you are willing to get the prescriber's name, the medication's source and the full monthly cost in writing before you book. If you need a named prescriber or a clear price before you commit, wait until the clinic gives you both.
