About TLC Wellness

What is TLC Wellness?

TLC Wellness is a cash pay clinic at 4004 Fort Henry Drive in Kingsport, Tennessee. Its main work is hormone care and medical weight loss, with peptide therapy and thyroid optimization alongside. The services it lists are Men's Hormones, Women's Hormones, Weight Loss, Men's Sexual Health, Peptide Therapy, and Thyroid Optimization. The clinic does not name the clinician who prescribes.

Its weight loss care includes compounded semaglutide, which the clinic compares to Ozempic and Wegovy, and compounded tirzepatide, which it compares to Mounjaro. Its men's pricing mentions anastrozole, and its peptide page says patients can ask about BPC-157 and other peptides. Prescriptions are filled by a partnered 503A or 503B pharmacy of the clinic's choice.

In its own words: "We prioritize the individual over the prescription, and won't judge your past decisions or substance use."

Visits are by appointment on weeknights and weekends, and telemedicine is open to established patients. The clinic has a Google rating of 5 from 89 reviews.

What does it cost?

The initial consultation and lab follow up is $225 for men's hormones, women's hormones, weight loss, and thyroid care. The men's health club is $150 a month for testosterone therapy. That price covers medication, supplies, and anastrozole if needed, along with follow-up visits and medication delivery. The club is open only to established patients after an initial consult.

Labs are billed separately. Initial labs run $100 to $200 for men, $150 to $200 for women, and $50 to $200 for weight loss and thyroid care. Follow-up labs are $100 for men, $50 to $200 for women and weight loss, and $75 for thyroid care. Women's follow-up visits are billed by length: $30 for the first 15 minutes, $60 for 16 to 30 minutes, $90 for 31 to 45 minutes, and $120 for 46 to 60 minutes.

The clinic does not publish a price for weight loss medication. It asks patients to call.

Paying in full for 3, 6, or 12 months earns 5%, 7.5%, or 10% off. The clinic accepts debit cards, credit cards, and cash, and it welcomes FSA and HSA payments. It does not accept health insurance. A card is kept on file for booking, and a cancellation made less than 8 hours before the appointment is charged the full fee.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who signs the prescription. The clinic does not name its prescriber, so get that person's name and credentials before the first visit.

Ask what the $150 club fee covers in your case, and whether it includes every medication and lab you need. The clinic does not publish membership commitment or cancellation terms for the club, so ask how to end it.

For weight loss, ask the monthly cost of compounded semaglutide or compounded tirzepatide, and whether any medication is included in the $225 consultation. Ask whether a brand-name option is available and what it would cost.

Ask how often labs are needed and what they will cost over time. Existing labs are accepted only if they are no more than 30 days old and meet a full panel standard. The men's pages say the initial visit must be in person to meet testosterone regulations, so ask which of your visits can be by telehealth.

Ask how the required pharmacy works for pickup and cost, since prescriptions go only to a partnered pharmacy. Ask for the clinic's actual hours, because it lists only appointment availability on weeknights and weekends. Finally, ask when intake paperwork is due, because it must be completed at least 8 hours before the appointment.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you are paying cash for hormone, weight loss, peptide, or thyroid care, can attend an in person first visit, and want the prescriber's name, the full monthly cost, and the cancellation terms in writing before you pay.
