About Cordova Weight Loss

What is Cordova Weight Loss?

Cordova Weight Loss is a walk-in medical weight loss clinic at 1660 Bonnie Lane, Suite 105, in Cordova, Tennessee. Its main work is medically supervised weight loss, and it has been doing this for over 20 years. In its own words: "We provide medically supervised weight loss programs, including prescription medications, as well as name brand and compounded GLP-1 injections."

A nurse practitioner reviews your medical history and writes the prescription, but no individual prescriber is named. Its services are oral medications, weight loss shots, vitamin and supplement injections, and diet and exercise counseling. Medications named include tirzepatide and semaglutide (compounded), Mounjaro, Ozempic, Wegovy and Zepbound (name brand), phentermine, and NAD+ and glutathione injections. No appointment or referral is needed. Hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Thursday 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM, and closed Sunday. Google shows a 4.6 rating from 151 reviews.

What does it cost?

The office visit is $50. Weight loss shots are priced by weekly dose. Tirzepatide runs $75 for 2.5 mg, $100 for 5.0 mg and $125 for 7.5 mg. Semaglutide runs from $60 for 0.25 mg to $130 for 2.4 mg. NAD+ costs $25 to $100, and glutathione costs $25 or $50. It is not stated whether the shot price covers anything beyond the medication. There is no extra office visit charge with its shots, so ask how the $50 visit fits in.

For name-brand drugs such as Mounjaro or Wegovy, you pay the $50 visit for a paper prescription and fill it at your own pharmacy, where the price depends on your insurance. Its compounded shots are not affected by insurance coverage. It does not accept insurance, but some HSA and FSA cards are accepted. It does not publish prices for phentermine or Zepbound.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who signs the prescription and what physician oversight means in practice, since the office uses both nurse practitioner and physician-supervised language. Ask whether the shot price covers only the medication, and whether follow-up visits, the $50 visit and any lab work cost extra. Ask which pharmacy makes the compounded tirzepatide and semaglutide, and how they differ from the name-brand versions. Ask for the phentermine and Zepbound prices before you commit. The FAQ gives a BMI floor of 20 for GLP-1 shots in one answer and 20.5 in another, so ask which one applies to you. Ask whether there is any membership, minimum or commitment, and how you stop.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you live in or can reach Cordova, Tennessee, want to walk in without an appointment, and are ready to pay cash for prescription or compounded weight loss treatment. If you live outside Tennessee, you would need an in-person visit to start, because virtual consultations are offered only to Tennessee residents.
