What is Southern Wellness Clinic?
Southern Wellness Clinic is a wellness practice at 224 S Horton Pkwy in Chapel Hill, Tennessee 37034. Two nurses founded it, Kayla Chapman, FNP-BC, and Holly Craft, BSN, RN. Kyle Kakac, MD, is the medical director. Most of what it offers is IV drips and vitamin injections. Medical weight loss is one of six listed services, alongside Signature IV Therapy, Vitamin Injections, NAD+ Therapy, Travel IVs, and Peptide Therapy. Peptide Therapy is listed as coming soon.
The weight loss program uses tirzepatide, semaglutide, and phentermine, and every program starts with a medical evaluation. Toradol and Zofran appear on the IV add-on menu. Hormone therapy is not among the listed services. The clinic is open Monday and Wednesday 10am to 6pm, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 9am to 5pm, Saturday with varying hours, and closed Sunday. Google shows a rating of 5 from 9 reviews.
In its own words: "every treatment starts with a medical evaluation, honest education about your options, and your informed consent."
What does it cost?
IV drips run from $50 for the Half Pour, a half liter of fluids, to $190 for the Wildflower Glow. A B12 injection is $15, or two for $25. NAD+ is $68 for the 100mg single dose and $98 for the 200mg single dose. Medication prices start at $78 for tirzepatide, $73 for semaglutide, and $73 for phentermine for 30 days.
It does not say whether those medication prices are per dose or per month, or whether they include the medication. It does not publish a consultation fee, and it does not say whether it accepts insurance. Travel IV pricing is not listed.
Membership comes in two plans. The Porch is $75 a month and includes one B12 injection and one Full Pour IV each month, with no monthly rollover. The Homestead is $105 a month and includes monthly rollover, $10 off specialty bags, and $5 off add-ins. Both include priority scheduling. Cancellation terms for membership are not stated.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask which of the three people named on the team writes each prescription, and who handles follow-up visits. Ask whether the starting prices are per dose or per month, and whether they include the medication. Ask whether the medication is brand-name or compounded. Ask which of the medications are FDA-approved for your reason, since the practice lists explaining that as part of its approach.
Ask what the consultation costs, and what follow-up visits and lab work add to the monthly total. Ask whether it takes insurance or HSA funds, and whether weight loss visits can be done by telehealth, since that is not stated. If you consider a membership, ask how to cancel and what notice is required. For peptide therapy, ask when it opens and whether the waitlist has a timeline.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want in-person care in Chapel Hill, are ready to pay the listed prices yourself, and want medical weight loss alongside IV or injection services. It is a weaker fit if you need hormone therapy, which is not among its services, or if you need peptide therapy now, since that service is not yet open.
