What is Menopause Solutions?
Menopause Solutions is a gynecology and menopause practice at 721 Long Point Road, Suite 407, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464. The prescribers are Elaine Eustis, MD, FACOG, MSCP, and Rhonda J. Leach, DNP, WHNP-BC. The practice mainly handles menopause and perimenopause, hormone replacement therapy and bioidentical hormones, with gynecology, well woman visits, sexual health and wellness also on its service list. Weight management is one of those services, not the whole practice.
The weight loss program uses semaglutide, with dietary and exercise counseling, body composition analysis before, during and after the program, and long term follow up. The clinic names Ozempic and Wegovy as the brand names of semaglutide. The program is open to people who are not existing patients and serves the Mount Pleasant and Charleston areas. Visits can happen in the office or by telehealth. Office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and closed on weekends. Its Google rating is 5 from 446 reviews. In its own words: "Menopause Solutions is a direct patient-care practice."
This listing is for its Mt Pleasant office at 721 Long Point Rd #407.
What does it cost?
The office does not take insurance, and payment is due in full at the time of service. A new patient visit is $575 with Dr. Eustis and $450 with Dr. Leach. An established visit is $525 with Dr. Eustis and $400 with Dr. Leach. An annual administrative fee of $49 covers lab orders, prescription refills and chart work between appointments. The office provides a superbill you can submit to your insurer, but it says it cannot guarantee out of network reimbursement. HSA and FSA cards are accepted, and the clinic suggests checking with your plan first. IUD insertion or removal, repeat Pap smears, pessary care and same day or urgent visits are priced separately, and you have to call for those.
It does not publish a price for the weight loss program or for hormone therapy. It does not say whether semaglutide is part of any program fee. It also does not state cancellation or commitment terms for the program. Ask for all of these before you book.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who writes the semaglutide prescription, and whether that is Dr. Eustis, Dr. Leach, or both. Ask whether the program fee includes the medication or bills it separately. Ask whether the semaglutide is the brand name product or a compounded version, since the clinic names the brands but does not say which one it dispenses. Ask what the body composition analyses, follow up visits and lab work cost, and how often they happen. Ask how you cancel and whether there is a minimum commitment. Ask whether telehealth visits cost the same as office visits. For hormone therapy, ask for a price before the first visit, because none is published. If you have Medicare, ask how the waiver you sign affects your visit. The weight management page lists a second number, 843-810-5974, for program questions, so you can call there too.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you live in Mount Pleasant or Charleston, can pay in full at each visit, and want a menopause and hormone practice or a weight program that does not bill insurance. It is a poor fit if you need your visits billed to insurance, or if you need the full monthly cost of the weight program in writing before you commit.
