What is Beaufort Memorial Healthy Weight?

Beaufort Memorial Healthy Weight is a physician-supervised medical weight loss program at 117 Sea Island Parkway in Lady's Island, South Carolina. It runs inside Lady's Island Internal Medicine, and the practice has been in operation since July 8, 2019. The prescriber is Yvette-Marie Pellegrino, M.D., FAAFP, who is described as a board-certified obesity medicine specialist. Its listed services are all weight management, under the names Medical Weight Management, Physician-Supervised Weight Loss Program and Healthy Weight. Hormone, peptide and longevity care are not among them.

If a medication is prescribed, ask whether it is the brand-name product or a compounded version. Ask whether your plan covers the program or whether a copay applies, and which of your conditions would qualify you for coverage. Ask whether the initial visit has a fee, and how follow-up visits and dietitian sessions are billed, including virtual ones. Finally, ask how cancellation works once you have paid and whether the package has a refund policy.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want a physician-led weight program with a set 24-week structure, a dietitian included, and the option of virtual visits, and you are willing to get prices in writing before you commit. It is not a fit if you need a price posted before you call, or if you are looking for hormone or peptide care, since it lists neither.
