The clinic does not publish prices for weight loss or hormone therapy, and it does not say whether medication is included in any price. Some of its online text calls the consultation free, which conflicts with the $500 fee, so ask which applies.
It is cash pay only. In its own words: "In order to provide attentive, personalized health care, insurance is not accepted." Payment is due at the time of service by credit card, flexible spending account, or health savings account. Medicare patients must sign a waiver stating that neither the clinic nor the patient will bill Medicare. Cancellations need 24 hours' notice by phone at 843-940-7030. Otherwise the card on file is charged the total amount.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who writes and signs your prescriptions, and whether Dr. Matsik will handle your follow-up visits. Ask whether any price includes medication, and whether the hormone products are brand-name or compounded, since the clinic names none. If weight loss treatment interests you, ask whether any GLP-1 medication is offered.
Ask what labs and follow-up visits will cost, since labs are billed separately. Ask where visits will take place after the move and whether hours and fees will change, because some of its material also names Charleston, South Carolina. Finally, ask how cancellation works before you pay anything.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want a gynecologist to prescribe hormone therapy and plan weight loss, you can pay cash for visits and labs, and you can keep to its Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday hours from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. If you need insurance billing or a published medication price, call and ask before you book.
