About Renewed Health

What is Renewed Health?

Renewed Health is a cash pay practice at 2374 Diamond Hill Rd. in Cumberland, Rhode Island. Jennifer Walter, APRN, CNP, MSN, runs the practice and prescribes. She has over 20 years in healthcare, eleven of them in primary care, mental health and addiction medicine, before training in bioidentical hormone replacement. The clinic offers bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, testosterone replacement therapy, thyroid care and medical weight loss.

The weight loss program names tirzepatide, semaglutide, and phentermine with topiramate. Visits can be in person or by video, and the clinic lists Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Minnesota as states it serves. Hours are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 8:00 am to 4 pm, and Tuesday 8:00 am to 5 pm. Google shows a 5 rating from 114 reviews. In its own words: "Programs are individualized, and personalized care is our focus; we recognize the importance of one on one attention."

What does it cost?

The weight loss program publishes its prices. The initial consultation is $99, charged to a credit card, and that amount is credited toward your in-clinic follow-up if you go ahead. The program appointment is $299. The treatment program is $299 a month for an oral medication, or starts at $450 a month for an injectable. That monthly fee includes prescribing, medication shipped to your door, supplements and vitamins, and visits every 4 weeks for the first 6 months, then every 90 days.

The clinic takes no medical insurance, Medicare or Medicaid, and weight loss medication is not covered by insurance. It accepts HSA and FSA payments. Lab work may be covered by medical insurance. It does not publish a separate price for hormone medication beyond the program fee, and it links a booking policy without spelling out cancellation terms.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask whether Jennifer Walter writes every prescription, and who else on staff can. Ask whether the medication is brand name or compounded, since the clinic works with compounding pharmacies and does not say which medication a given patient receives. Ask which of the three named medications would be considered for you. Ask what follow-up visits and lab work cost beyond the monthly fee. Ask how to cancel, and whether the $99 is returned if you do not continue. Ask whether the prescriber is licensed in your state.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want weight loss or hormone care from a nurse practitioner, you plan to pay cash or with an HSA or FSA, and you are comfortable with a monthly program that starts with visits every 4 weeks. If you need the clinic to bill your insurance, it does not do that.
