About GetfitRx

What is GetfitRx?

GetfitRx is a fitness coaching business at 535 Atwood Avenue, Suite 3, in Cranston, Rhode Island. Most of what it sells is training: live and on-demand strength classes, nutrition, and coaching. A medical team sits alongside that for GLP-1 and peptide therapy, with a telehealth Functional Health Assessment as the starting point. The prescribers are Dr. Kevin Palumbo, MD, the Medical Director, and Evelyn Asante, Advanced NP. The coaches and the pharmacist on staff are not listed as prescribers. The practice has one Google review, rated 5.

What does it cost?

It sells three monthly memberships. Training & Community is $25 a month and covers classes and community, with no dedicated coach and no medical team. FitCare Membership is $50 a month and is described for clients local to the Rhode Island practice who are using, or plan to pursue, GLP-1 or peptide therapy and want ongoing clinical oversight. FitCare Coaching Plus is $150 a month, billed monthly, with a dedicated coach and weekly check-ins. Coaching is open nationwide, but medical oversight is for eligible Rhode Island members.

Medication is never in the membership price. In its own words: "Membership fees do not include the cost of GLP-1 or peptide medications." Its terms say a pharmacy fills and bills the medication, separate from provider fees. An initial consult is included at the start of the program, but its fee is not stated. Memberships run month to month with no long-term contracts. It does not say whether it accepts insurance.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who will sign your prescription, and whether your intake answers can go to partner medical providers, which its terms say they can. Ask which GLP-1 or peptide medications it uses, since none are named, and whether they are brand-name or compounded. Ask what the medication costs each month, and whether you must fill it through GetFitRx to keep the FitCare Membership.

Ask what the consult costs, and whether follow-up visits, script management and lab work are billed on top. Ask whether insurance or an HSA can pay. Ask which states a telehealth visit can happen in, and whether a client in Massachusetts or Connecticut qualifies for medical oversight, since that tier is described for Rhode Island clients. Ask how to cancel and get the refund terms in writing. Ask how to reach the team, since no phone number or hours are published.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want strength training and coaching at the center of your plan, you live in Rhode Island, and you are ready to pay for medication on top of the membership. If you need a named medication, a medication price, or a phone number before you decide, get those answers first.
