What is Activate Wellness Co.?
Activate Wellness Co. is a wellness practice at 101 North Adams Street, Rockville, MD 20850, open 7 days a week from 10am to 7pm at (240) 907-3739. It opened in 2023 with its infusion arm, Activate Wellness Infusions, and says it serves Montgomery County, Maryland. Most of what it offers is IV and IM infusions and wellness coaching. Its five listed services are IV and IM therapy, GLP-1 medical weight loss, NAD+ therapy, Arvigo abdominal massage, and an integrated wellness program.
The GLP-1 program is the one service that involves prescription medication. The clinic names Ozempic, semaglutide, Wegovy and Mounjaro and describes them as weekly self-injections. Lindsay West, BSN, RN, is the only prescriber the clinic names. The program starts with a nurse preassessment that includes BMI and labs. Physicians review those results, but the clinic does not name them.
What does it cost?
The GLP-1 program is $499 a month. In its own words: "NO HIDDEN FEES. ONE MONTHLY CHARGE OF $499 INCLUDES:" The list that follows includes a prescription delivered to your home, physician check-ins, onboarding labs, monthly BMI tracking, lifestyle coaching, and phone support. The consultation is free. It does not say whether the medication itself is part of the $499.
Coaching is priced separately: a 45 minute initial session is $199, and the monthly plan is $149 with a 2 month minimum commitment. IV and IM patients also pay $25 for a virtual physician visit every 6 months. It does not publish a price for NAD+ therapy. It does not accept insurance but accepts HSA and FSA payments.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask which physician reviews your case and who writes your prescription, since the only named prescriber is a nurse.
Ask whether the medication is included in the $499 or billed on top. Ask which product you would receive, brand-name or compounded, because the clinic names brands without saying which it dispenses.
Ask what follow-up labs and extra visits cost after onboarding. Ask how long the GLP-1 program runs and how to cancel, since the 2 month minimum is listed only for coaching. Ask whether the $25 visit also applies to weight loss patients.
If you want hormone therapy, ask directly, because the clinic does not list it. Ask for itemized receipts if you plan to submit claims to an HSA or FSA.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want a cash-pay weight loss program with a nurse intake and a monthly fee, and you are ready to get the medication cost, prescriber and cancellation terms in writing before you pay. It is not the right place if you need insurance billing or hormone therapy.
