What is Spruce Medispa?
Spruce Medispa is a medical spa with offices in Moon Township, Robinson and Wexford. The clinic describes itself as a small, locally-owned practice. The only prescriber it names is Dr. Theresa Crocenelli, MD, who founded the practice.
Most of what the clinic offers is aesthetic work, including Botox, Dysport, several dermal fillers, facials, microneedling, skin tightening and body sculpting. Weight loss is one service among these. The weight loss program has two parts: prescription injections of semaglutide and tirzepatide, and lipotropic injections that combine vitamin B12 with MIC, a mix of methionine, inositol and choline. It includes B12 with both semaglutide and tirzepatide, and it describes both prescription medications as FDA-approved.
In its own words: "We'll work with you to determine which treatment option is right for your specific needs."
What does it cost?
The clinic does not publish prices for its weight loss program. No consultation fee is listed for it, and nothing is said about insurance or cash pay. It does not state whether the medication is part of any monthly amount. The main menu links to a membership page and a payment plans page, but nothing on the weight loss program says whether either one applies to it. Ask for the full cost in writing before you commit, with the medication, the injections and the visits listed separately.
What should you ask before you book?
Start with who writes the prescription. Ask whether Dr. Crocenelli evaluates you and signs off on your medication, or whether another clinician does, and who adjusts your treatment over time.
Ask whether the monthly fee includes the medication or whether the drug is billed on top of it. Ask whether the semaglutide and tirzepatide are brand-name products or compounded versions, and which pharmacy fills them. The clinic does not say.
Ask what follow-up visits and lab work cost. Telehealth is not mentioned, so ask whether check-ins can be done by video or phone. Ask whether the clinic takes insurance or is cash pay only. Ask how cancellation works and whether a membership contract is involved. Since the clinic has three offices, ask which one you would be seen at.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want injectable weight loss medication from a physician-founded medical spa that also offers cosmetic treatments, and you are ready to pay cash for a consultation and medication without a published price in hand. It is a weaker fit if you need the full cost on paper before you call, or if you want a clinic whose main business is medical weight management.
