What is SWI Weight Loss Clinic?
SWI Weight Loss Clinic is the weight loss practice of The Sanctuary Wellness Institute, which John DiBella founded in 2018 with one office in Chester Springs, Pennsylvania. Chester Springs is still its headquarters, and it also has an office in Camp Hill. It says it has offices in other states too, and it offers telehealth visits, which it calls teleWellness, in all 50 states.
Its physicians include Dr. Heather Moday, MD, who is trained in both traditional and functional or integrative medicine, and Dr. Kalpana Sundar, DO, who practiced ear, nose and throat medicine for over 20 years. Its physicians can prescribe brand-name Wegovy, Mounjaro and Ozempic. It also offers compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide made by MFV Pharmacy in Utah, and it states plainly that compounded versions are not FDA approved. Compounded medication is shipped to you, and the pharmacy does not ship to Alaska, Arkansas or Maine. You meet with your doctor every month to review progress and authorize the next month of medication.
This listing is for its Chester Springs office at 122 Pottstown Pike.
What does it cost?
It does not publish prices for visits or medication. It does not accept insurance and cannot submit claims for reimbursement. Lab fees are not included and depend on which lab company you choose. You can cancel an appointment at any time, but once your doctor places a medication order, it can't be refunded.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask the monthly cost of the visit and of the medication, and how that changes between brand-name and compounded options. Ask whether a brand-name prescription can be filled at your local pharmacy. Ask which doctor would prescribe for you, and whether your visits would be in person in Chester Springs or Camp Hill or by video. Ask which labs you'll need and roughly what they cost. Ask how to stop before the next month's medication order goes in.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want GLP-1 care with a choice between brand-name and compounded medication, are paying out of pocket, and are comfortable with monthly visits and medication shipped to your home. If you want to see the same doctor in person every time, ask how often that happens.
