About ZoomCare

What is ZoomCare?

ZoomCare is a multi-site urgent and primary care clinic with offices in Portland, Lake Oswego, Salem and Eugene, Oregon, and in Seattle, Edmonds and Vancouver, Washington. Its main services are urgent care, primary care and emergency care. It also offers medical imaging, mental health, women's health, podiatry, dermatology and sports physicals.

Weight loss with GLP-1 medication is one program within that practice. It names Zepbound®, Wegovy® and Foundayo™, and one prescriber: Nicole Knigge MS, PA-C, ATC, CSCS. Its weight loss FAQ says GLP-1s are not dispensed in clinic, so prescriptions are sent to a pharmacy of your choice. Care can be in person or virtual, with same-day visits and evening and weekend hours at select clinics. It does not name hormone therapy or peptide therapy.

This listing is for its Tigard office at 11958 SW Garden Place.

What does it cost?

ZoomCare does not publish a price for GLP-1 medication or for a weight loss visit. It does not say whether medication is included in any price, and it publishes no consultation fee.

Its self-pay figures are averages for office visits. Urgent care and primary care run $260 to $400. Emergency care and mental health run $260 to $530. Dermatology, podiatry and women's health run $260 to $400. A sports physical is $65. Lab work, imaging, procedures, supplies and medication are not included in those ranges, and self-pay balances are collected in full at checkout.

It has no membership fees. In its own words: "personalized care without the added cost and commitment of monthly or annual membership fees." It accepts most major private insurance plans and Medicare, but not Medicaid, including the Oregon Health Plan and Washington Apple Health.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who signs the prescription, since only one prescriber is named. Ask whether the monthly cost includes the medication, and what the medication costs on its own. Ask whether the drug is brand-name or compounded.

Its general materials say patients can get labs onsite and go home with meds in hand, but its weight loss FAQ says GLP-1s are not dispensed in clinic. Ask which of those applies to the drug you would receive.

Ask which offices offer weight loss care, since it does not say. Ask what the three-month in-person follow-up costs, and what any lab work adds. Ask what your insurance covers, and how to stop care once you start. You can put these questions to the clinic at 844-966-6777.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want GLP-1 care from a clinic that also handles same-day urgent and primary care, and you are willing to get the full cost in writing before you book. If you are looking for hormone or peptide care, it does not name either service, so ask before you call.
