About Modē Longevity Studio

What is Modē Longevity Studio?

Modē Longevity Studio is a cash-pay, concierge-style practice at 3735 SE Division St. in Portland, Oregon, 97202. Its main work is hormone care. It also offers weight management, peptide therapy and aesthetic injections. The office is open Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, and the phone number is 971-328-3363. On Google it is listed as a medical clinic, rated 5 from 9 reviews.

Dr. Sydney Pallesen is the only prescriber the clinic names. She is a naturopathic doctor (N.D.), founded the practice and owns it. She graduated from National University of Natural Medicine in 2014. The hormone program covers testosterone, estradiol and progesterone. The weight program uses GLP-1 medications along with lab monitoring and lifestyle counseling. In its own words: "Our approach focuses not only on weight loss, but on improving overall metabolic health, energy, and long-term wellness."

What does it cost?

Hormone optimization is $200 a month. That fee includes the bioidentical hormone medications and supplies, routine lab monitoring, follow-up visits and ongoing guidance. The weight optimization program and the peptide wellness program are each $99 a month. Both cover medication management, routine blood work, regular visits and supplies. GLP-1 medications and peptide medications cost extra when they are appropriate, and the clinic does not publish those prices.

The new patient consultation is $300, labeled a limited-time special. It covers an initial phone consultation, a lab panel for hormones, metabolic health and other key markers, and an in-office follow-up visit. The clinic is cash-pay and does not bill insurance directly. HSA or FSA funds can be used, and it will provide a superbill for possible reimbursement on request. It does not publish cancellation or commitment terms.

What should you ask before you book?

Start with the monthly totals. Ask whether the $200 hormone fee is the whole monthly cost, and what a GLP-1 medication adds to the $99 weight program. Ask the same about peptide medications under the $99 peptide program. Because the clinic does not publish these add-on prices, get a written monthly total before you agree to anything.

Then ask about the prescriber and the terms. Confirm that Dr. Pallesen is the one who signs your prescriptions, and whether anyone else in the office can. Ask whether the medications are brand-name or compounded, and where they are made. Ask how you cancel a monthly plan, whether there is a notice period or fee, and what the consultation costs once the limited-time rate ends. Find out whether follow-up can happen by phone or video, since the clinic does not say, and whether lab work beyond the routine panels is billed separately.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want ongoing hormone care or a monthly weight or peptide program, you plan to pay cash, and you are willing to get every medication cost in writing before you start. If you specifically want a prescriber with an MD or DO credential, ask first, because the clinic names a naturopathic doctor.
