About Boost IV
What is Boost IV?
Boost IV is a cash-pay clinic at 2342 NW Thurman St in Portland, Oregon, 97210, reachable at 971.533.1700. Its main business is IV and vitamin shot therapy, including Wellness IVs, Vitamin IVs, High-Dose Vitamin C, NAD+ IVs, Iron IVs, Vitamin Shots and Express IVs. It also sells IV Memberships, Shots Pass, Packages and Gift Cards, offers Mobile Treatment, and runs a GLP-1 Weight Loss program. It has a Google rating of 4.9 from 323 reviews.
Treatments are given by licensed staff, including registered nurses and nurse practitioners. The GLP-1 program is the one service built around named prescription medicines, tirzepatide and semaglutide. It starts with a 30-minute intake and labs drawn on-site, followed by a telehealth review. In its own words: "Labs on-site, prescription finalized within days." Dr. Pratt is the only prescriber named, and no credential is given for Dr. Pratt. The telehealth review is described as done by a naturopathic doctor, who is not named. The business was founded by a naturopath, and that person is not named either.
What does it cost?
The GLP-1 intake is $250 for Intake + Labs, which includes an initial evaluation with Dr. Pratt. The program's pricing details also show a $100 lab charge and a $100 credit toward Month 1 for anyone who starts within 30 days of the lab appointment. Those figures do not agree on whether labs are included in the $250, so confirm the total before you pay. Boost IV does not publish a monthly program fee or a medication price, and it does not say whether medication is part of the $250. It does not say whether it accepts insurance.
IV Memberships are $170 a month for Signature and $220 a month for Summit, and both carry a 3-month minimum commitment. Memberships are subject to approval based on health history and physician review. Canceling within the first 30 days carries a one-time $170 fee, and cancellation requires 30 days' written notice. Single IVs start at $140 for a one-hour Hydration Boost.
What should you ask before you book?
Who signs the weight loss prescription, and what is that person's license? Dr. Pratt is named for the intake with no credential, and the telehealth review is done by a naturopathic doctor who is not named. Ask for each name and credential in writing.
Is the medication brand-name or compounded? The program names tirzepatide and semaglutide but does not say which form it uses. Does the $250 include the medication, or only the visit and labs? Does the $100 lab charge apply on top of it? What is the monthly medication and program fee, and what do follow-up telehealth visits and dose changes cost?
How do you cancel the weight loss program? The cancellation terms given are for IV memberships, and the program does not give its own. Ask for office hours, which are not published, and whether Mobile Treatment is available in your area, since no service area is stated. Ask whether insurance or HSA funds can be used.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want nurse-given IV or shot therapy in Portland and are comfortable paying cash for it. For the weight loss program, it fits if you can get a named prescriber with a stated credential, a full monthly price and a written answer on the medication form before you pay the intake fee.
