About HormoneSynergy® Longevity Medicine

What is HormoneSynergy® Longevity Medicine?

HormoneSynergy® Longevity Medicine is a physician-led preventive health clinic at 9 Monroe Parkway, Suite 260, Lake Oswego, OR 97035. It serves Portland and Lake Oswego. Its main practice is concierge longevity medicine. Dr. Kathryn Retzler is the only prescriber named, and no credentials are published for her. Her background is described as more than 25 years of clinical experience. Google shows a rating of 5 from 33 reviews.

It offers three of the four kinds of care that cash-pay clinics usually sell: medical weight loss, hormone therapy and longevity medicine. Weight management uses semaglutide or tirzepatide when medically appropriate. Hormone services include testosterone therapy for men and women and bioidentical hormone therapy. The longevity side includes preventive cardiology, DEXA, carotid ultrasound, SECA body composition and CNS Vital Signs testing. Peptide therapy does not appear among its services. In its own words: "Longevity medicine is an emerging clinical focus, not an ABMS-recognized board specialty."

What does it cost?

The concierge membership is $150 a month. It covers ongoing messaging with Dr. Retzler, medical and lab coordination, medication and prescription management when appropriate, annual CNS Vital Signs and SECA testing, and a $100 monthly RetzlerRx® supplement credit. Physician visits are billed separately according to time and complexity. It does not say whether the membership covers medication, and it does not state a separate consultation fee.

New patients usually start with the Optimal Aging Assessment at $2,995. In its own words: "Completing the Optimal Aging Assessment does not obligate you to become a concierge patient."

Single tests are also available without a membership. SECA is $50. DEXA with bone density is $250, or $135 for whole-body only. Carotid ultrasound with CIMT is $250. Standalone Cleerly® is $1,995, and the outside imaging center's fee is paid on top of that. Existing patients pay $200 for the full DEXA and $100 for the whole-body version. It does not publish medication prices, and it does not say whether it accepts insurance.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask whether the $150 membership includes the medication. If it does not, ask what a month of semaglutide or tirzepatide costs. Ask whether the medication is brand-name or compounded, meaning a pharmacy prepares it rather than the manufacturer.

Ask whether you can join the weight loss program without a concierge membership. The service description says weight management is part of concierge care, yet the service list puts the Weight Loss for Longevity Program under non-concierge services. Ask for the answer in writing.

Ask who signs your prescriptions, how often you would see Dr. Retzler, and what each visit costs. Ask what follow-up labs cost after the assessment, whether follow-up can be done by video, and what the office hours are, since none are published. Ask how you cancel the membership and whether there is a minimum term.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want one physician to follow your hormones, weight, heart risk and body composition over time, and you can accept a monthly fee plus separate visit charges. If you only want one scan, many of the diagnostic services are open to people without a membership, but the outside imaging fee for Cleerly® applies on top of the clinic's own charge.
