About Juvé Medical Spa & Wellness

What is Juvé Medical Spa & Wellness?

Juvé Medical Spa & Wellness is a medical spa at 1600 E Main St in Cottage Grove, Oregon. Most of what it offers is aesthetic: neurotoxin injections such as Botox, Xeomin and Dysport, fillers, facials, chemical peels, microneedling and laser and light treatments. Weight loss is one of its services, handled through a GLP-1 prescription management program.

The GLP-1 medications it names are semaglutide and tirzepatide, sold as Ozempic, Zepbound and Mounjaro. The office no longer gives in-office injections, after recent FDA restrictions on compounding GLP-1 medications. Instead, the medication is mailed to you from the manufacturer's pharmacy, Eli Lilly or NovoCare, and is not administered in the office. The team listed is Angela Gates, APRN, FNP-C, MSN, who owns the business, Quiana Bray, RN and Angela Johnson, RN. It does not publish which of them signs GLP-1 prescriptions. It has a Google rating of 5 from 57 reviews.

What does it cost?

The prescription management membership is $49 a month. It covers prescription management, oversight and follow-ups. In its own words: "Medication cost is separate and paid directly to the manufacturer’s pharmacy." The medication comes through the manufacturer's cash-pay programs, which do not bill insurance.

It does not publish the medication cost, a consultation fee or cancellation terms. Follow-up visits are required every 6 months, virtual or in person.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask which of the three team members signs GLP-1 prescriptions, since the program does not name one. Ask what the medication costs through NovoCare or Eli Lilly, so you can add it to the $49 monthly fee and know the total each month. Ask what the consultation fee is, and whether the intake visit is charged apart from the membership.

Ask whether a 6-month follow-up carries a charge beyond the membership, and how to cancel. Ask for the office hours, which it does not publish. The phone number is (458) 250-4444.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want medical weight loss care paid for out of pocket, are comfortable with the medication arriving by mail from a manufacturer's pharmacy, and can keep up with a visit every 6 months. It is not the right match if you are looking for hormone therapy, peptide therapy or longevity medicine, since it does not list any of them.
