What is Royal Oak Massage & Spa?

Royal Oak Massage & Spa is a massage and spa business with offices in Edmond, Yukon and Oklahoma City. A fourth office in Nichols Hills is listed as coming soon and is not open yet. Massage memberships have no sign-up fees or contracts. Members can cancel anytime by emailing the office. Membership credits are non-refundable, and after cancelling, members have one year to use or gift what remains. A 55 minute massage costs $72 for members and $99 without a membership. Prices are subject to change. It does not say whether insurance is accepted for the weight loss program.

What should you ask before you book?

Start with the physician. Ask who the in-house physician is, whether that person is licensed in Oklahoma, and whether they are the one who writes and signs your prescription. Then ask whether the $99 monthly price includes the medication, and what the consultation, follow-up visits and lab work cost.

Ask whether the pill and the injections are compounded or brand-name products, since the clinic describes the pill as compounded. Ask whether a visit can be done by video or must be in person, and whether the same physician covers all of the Oklahoma offices. Finally, ask how to end the weight loss program and what it costs to stop, because the cancellation terms the clinic publishes are for memberships.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want medication-based weight loss care in a place where you can also book massage, skincare or hair, and you are willing to get the physician and price details in writing before you pay. If you need a named physician or a practice that is mainly medical, ask for those answers before you book.
