About HealthWorx
What is HealthWorx?
HealthWorx is a concierge-style direct primary care practice with offices in Westerville and Columbus, Ohio. Most of what it does is primary care on a monthly membership: unlimited visits, same-day appointments, telehealth options, and 24/7 direct messaging with your physician.
The prescribing physician is Dr. Bhavesh Patel, MD. Beyond primary care, the practice offers a physician-led weight loss program that uses the GLP-1 medications Wegovy and Zepbound, testosterone replacement therapy, menopause treatment, cardiovascular, diabetes and biometric screening, and a primary care program for employers called HealthWorx for Business. It serves Columbus, Westerville and the surrounding central Ohio communities. Google lists it at 5 stars from 11 reviews.
This listing is for its Westerville office at 193 W Schrock Rd.
What does it cost?
The weight loss program starts at $89 a month for non-members, and that fee covers clinical services only. Medication is not included. The fine print says brand-name drugs such as Wegovy or Zepbound are paid for separately, directly to the manufacturers, and can also be filled through your pharmacy or insurance.
The monthly fee includes a consultation to review your medical history, free lab work before you start medication and yearly after that if you continue, and provider access for questions. The first step is a virtual Meet & Greet, which costs nothing. Imaging such as CT, MRI or ultrasound is not included.
The direct primary care membership is billed monthly, but its fee is not published. The clinic also does not publish prices for testosterone replacement therapy or menopause treatment. On insurance, it is blunt. In its own words: "We are NOT Healthworx INSURANCE company." It does not say whether insurance is accepted for visits.
What should you ask before you book?
Start with the monthly fee. Ask whether any medication is included, and what Wegovy or Zepbound will cost you each month through your pharmacy or insurance. Ask whether the program uses only brand-name drugs, and whether a compounded version is ever offered.
Ask who signs your prescription, and whether you will see Dr. Bhavesh Patel, MD, or another provider. Ask whether the membership bills insurance for your visits, what the membership costs each month, and what testosterone or menopause care costs in total.
Ask what follow-up lab work and imaging cost after the free starting labs and the yearly labs. The fine print says programs typically last 3 to 5 months, so ask what continuing past that costs. Ask what hours the offices keep, since none are listed. Finally, ask how cancellation works and how you would get your records if you leave.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want ongoing primary care with same-day and telehealth access, and you can pay a monthly membership plus medication costs. It also suits people who want weight loss or hormone care from the same practice that handles their primary care. If you need a price for hormone care before you call, ask first, since none is published.
